Disclaimer: Okay hindi naman talaga ako kasama nila Sir Jecster sa Ridgeland SC pero let's pretend na ako yung kumukuha ng pictures para masaya ang story telling.

I'm posting on behalf of Sir Jecster

Let's start!

SMILE!!!!

The Fernandos with Fred Gretsch

He's holding the oldest Snare drum of Gretsch. May maliit na light bulb sa loob yan pag mainitan yung Drum heads which is calf's skin para sha mag stretch.

The new Drum shells. FYI Gretsch's drumshells were made outside their plant. Meaning there's a company that producing their shells. Pero don't worry they only produce Gretsch Shells and using Gretsch's Molds. Di kasi kasha sa factory nila eh. Yan ang sabi sakin ni Fred Gretsch. Hehehe

Hammered Bronze

Production Schedule

Measuring the drum size

Hand Sanding. FYI Gretsch used 2 ways of sanding their raw shells. Wet sanding then Dry Sanding. Inside and out.

Making the Finish by hand. FYI Each takes 7 processes to have their great Finish.

Drilling the Drums!!!

Buffing Stage

Assembly line

The Vineyard. Andito lahat nang lumang shells ng Grestch kasama na yung mga Old Slingerland Shell na naiwan nung binili ng Gibson USA yung Slingerland. Ayaw na nila kunin yung mga lumang shells so nakatambak lang yan dito.

Fact: Gretsch USA has only 8 employees in the factory so they can only make 5 Drums a day. 5 DRUMS A DAY!!! Not Drum sets ha! Wow pretty special huh!!!

wow...imagine less than 10 employees...it just makes every kit personal for them in making it.

that's why each drum is priceless...

The USA Custom, Signature Series and Limited Edition Custom Walnut kits, these are made in the US.

The New Classic, Renown, Catalina, and Blackhawk kits, these are made in Taiwan.

The New Classic drums are made in Taiwan, according to the Modern Drummer March 2007 product review.

The maple wood used for the shells is US maple?

Just wanna check.  Thanks  8-)
