no shim on the neck, yup I managed the setup the trem right, now I can move it without lowering the tension, it was tedious but pulled it off nicely hehe, all i can say is its the most work i've done setting up a guitar hahaha , 

Try shimming the neck and raising the bridge a bit. Not by too much. You just want the break angle there to be able to keep the strings down. That's what the buzz-stop is for really, but it sacrifices all of those awesome behind the bridge sounds so a set-up should do.

Quick update on my Jag's new look:  managed to swap out the brown tort with a mint pick guard.  It looks so much better now.  Just thought it would be nice to share in this guy's personal excitement.

They came highly recommended at the offset guitars message board. The rule of thumb was that AVRI parts work well for the Squier VMs. It was advice well followed.

Kinailangan nga lang na i-unscrew yung mga control panel para i-fit yung pick guard. Pagkatapos ng konting adjustment, kumasya rin siya. Screw holes were also slightly off, but not by much.

Hindi kasya ang AVRI-spec guards. They won't line up and the routes are slightly different. Try Allparts for Japan-spec offsets.

On the other hand, rjthemute has successfully used Japanese guards on US/MIM-spec offsets. I think it was a Allparts guards on a BTJM and a VM Jag.

Will allparts guards fit the VM JM, too? Also, you need a pedalboard, man

They WON'T fit the VMJM. I know that from experience. Stick to Fender AVRI or WD for VMJM guards. You need to get a replacement bracket for the rhythm circuit as well since the VM series has smaller brackets. Also, I do have a pedalboard! I had to go to work yesterday though, so I only took my main fuzz and the G3. Couldn't bring the rest so I sounded really dry last night. Nice meeting you IRL!

I think.. 2 dream guitars would be a deimel and a fano...i would sell all my gear for these two..kaka gas...and I think investment wise..these pieces will be as valuable as those vintage 50’s era guitars we have now...

I don't think that'd be the case tho. Vintage pieces would likely hold their value and/or appreciate over time. I don't see myself owning a boutique guitar other than a Nelson Coquette or an EGC 500.

maybe my last mod for this jag, added sjag-2, the pickup itself is wax potted but i'm still thinking if I'm gonna wax pot it with the covers and claws will test it muna on louder volume kung mag iingay or not  , also taped the mustang post so it doesn't rock, a popular simple mod I want to try, works great also changed the tone a little, less trebly
