Magandang hapon po mga masters!

Tanong ko lang po. Meron pa po bang Fender Blacktop Jazzmaster sa Yupangco? Magkano kaya SRP nila?

Ayaw po kase sumagot yung FB page nila.  :-(

i saw a jazzmaster blacktop at the perfect pitch mega-mall branch. if you can somehow find their contact number, just try to call them first for verification.

Ayun! Nagreply na po at last. Php 29,950 po tsaka may less -10% pa kung cash.  :-)

Tanong ko lang po, is it worth the price po ba? I haven't owned a Fender kase and I'm planning to have one for keeps na at this price range. I know this one's an MIM, but at least it's a Fender.  :-D I currently have a Squier Modified Tele Custom and a Gibson LP Studio 50's Tribute w/ humbuckers.

Haha, relax man. The MIM line is good. At least with the Blacktops/Classic Players I've tried. Then there's the Deluxe series pa among others. Rollingboy on here has a stock BTJM and I use a heavily modified BTJM. I'd happily pit it against any other Fender offset.

Thank you sir. Kaso nasa Bohol po ako. Yung pinakamalapit na Yupangco store dito ay sa Cebu, tapos wala sila masyado stocks.  :-(

Haha! Thank you po sir! :x

But now, I think I'm getting one. Thanks to you sir!

Ito lang sasabihin ko sayo, hinagis ko yung BTJM ko 10 feet in the air and it landed on stage plugged in. Loud thud, but when I picked it up it was still in tune and I got to finish the set with the same guitar. Barely a dent in the clear coat. I threw a Squier VMJM out after a set, and the electronics went wonky with a 1" gash past the primer and into the wood. It's a great guitar.

Also, it survives this all the time:

Haha, it's just part of playing a fun show. Besides, guitars can be repaired and electronics can be resoldered. Okay lang and I can understand why people want to take care of their guitars/not getting scratches on them but I want to have fun and that's just part of it. As for the mods, it was initially modded by a friend in the states to take Wide Range humbuckers. After a while, I had Micsis re-route it for a Rhythm Circuit and I added a full-spec Jazzmaster wiring harness with pickups made by a now-defunct pickup winder sa states.

Wow! Lalo akong nagiging curious sa BTJM nyo! I have so many questions in my mind right now pero saka ko na siguro itatanong pag meron na akong BTJM.

may new calling na ako guys..

BASS...

just joined a band that rehearses regularly..formative days palang naman..killer guitarist and drummer..to a totally new genre..something like electronica rock ..emotional thing (mostly original stuff)..with a girl singing... (something like this Anna Tcah--blah blaha black stones, Telepop Musik style)

and I took on bass duties...so dahil dito nawalan na ako ng gana mangolekta ng gitara (passed off on the japanese competition jazzmaster)..haha good thing in a way at least bawas GAStos..(pero of course pag mga high end guitars na presyong adik..di ko papamlampasin..)..so iba din yung joy na nagaBASS (lalo sa genre ng group na ito)..haha pwede magwala at mag tatalon talon na walang masyadong iniisip ng super technical riffs--just lay on a solid continuous bass line (which is mostly repetitive)..(I was never a sharp, technical player naman lalo sa gitara)..

so far im enjoying it... at least i get to clock some gig and jam time with the jazzbass I bought..

hahaha..nashare ko lang...baka calling ko na yata ang Bass dito..

I've asked Frank whether he could make me a 24.75" scale. He said it's actually in R & D stage at this time. I want to wait for that. I really dig how the Kauer feels with the Gibson scale.

I have no doubts about the Mastery's build quality, but the Deusenberg trem works a lot better with the design.

That sounds exciting! I wonder if he's going to reposition everything or if he's coming up with a conversion neck.

I could readily get one with a Duesey vibrato with a regular 25.5" scale. But I'm hooked on 24.75. So easy on the wrist.
Having considered all the moving parts, a conversion neck is not as simple a solution as it would be on a fixed bridge such as a Telecaster/Telemaster. Here's Frank's reply:

Dear Bart,

thank you very much for your inquiry! We actually are working on these kind of transformations, it started out with Rodrigo Fuentealba from Belgium as having ordered it as a medium scale, so you are the next maybe with a short scale.-)
I will do my best, to accommodate your idea. We do need to redesign the whole guitar basically, as everything moves. All parts need to be changed, but I will make up my mind about it.
Once that has been done efficiently, the price for it would be basically the  same as on our Deluxe models, which is 2050.00 €.

Let me know, if you would be interested, all the best, Frank

Yes! Magkakaroon na rin ako ng offset guitar!  :-D

Just completed a Paypal transaction for a mint sunburst Blacktop Jazzmaster from ebay!

I paid $300 for the guitar, pero binawi rin sa postage and handling and import charges na umabot sa $194.39!

thats cheap parin naman, say 495 dollars is around 21-22k dba?

another option is to ask a quotation thru PEDALLION GEARS, they can also purchase gears for you. pwede EBAY. may option pa kung thru AIR or SEA, mas cheaper ang SEA FREIGHT pero mas matagal. hehe.
