Learning 100 intros and no songs.
Limiting yourself to one style of music-usually metal. - gusto ko kasi rock :)
Using too much hand/finger pressure when fretting. - para mas practice yun finger ko .
Giving up immediately because you sound like dog doo. - Oo lalo na pag may nakikinig sayo.
Thinking that playing fast pentatonic-box patterns makes you a hot guitarist. para astig ka tingnan lololol

after reading this thread siguro magbabago na ako hahaha xD

halos lahat ako eh hahah pero eto ung pinaka ako

Learning 100 intros and no songs

Obsessing about playing burning solos, and not caring about rhythm guitar.

Thinking that playing fast pentatonic-box patterns makes you a hot guitarist.

Limiting yourself to one style of music-usually metal.

Not taking the time to learn music theory.

The Wah Pedal, making porn even more entertaining since 1966.

guilty ako sa...music theory - coz i don't know how to squeeze it to my schedule

and most specially...not knowing the concepts of...
1) the 'amp' in line with 'distortion pedals'
and
2) pick-ups (single coil v.s. humbuckers)

maybe coz i'm not really exposed sa gigging scene.. that i learned it only after getting busy with 'life'..
still...
i think i'm still in-between a newbie & an intermediate guitar player.

br & God bless

Grabe ito ako dati...

Learning 100 intros and no songs.
Limiting yourself to one style of music-usually [metal]
Not taking the time to learn music theory.
Playing too loud, and with too much distortion.
Setting your amp's Gain on 10, and Mids on 0.
Relying on picks.
Not learning how to perform a basic setup.
Not maintaining your gear.
Not jamming enough with other players.
Not knowing the difference between tube watts and solid-state watts.
Relying too much on printed music and tabs.
Using too much hand/finger pressure when fretting.
Not learning how all your gear works.
Learning with your eyes, instead of your ears.
Thinking that playing fast pentatonic-box patterns makes you a hot guitarist.
Not putting casters on viciously heavy amps.
Realizing guitar is too difficult and taking up bass instead.

Learning 100 intros and no songs. >>  ( dati intro lang.ngayon.. hanggang 1st chorus na lol)
Relying on picks >>.
Not learning how to perform a basic setup. >> (wala ko pagasa dito lol)
Relying too much on printed music and tabs.>> ( ang sarap po kasi mag-cover. nakakatuwa siya lol)
Learning with your eyes, instead of your ears. (iyak :(
Thinking that playing fast pentatonic-box patterns makes you a hot guitarist. >> huhu siya lang kasi madali kabisaduhin..
Realizing guitar is too difficult and taking up bass instead. >>> ITO sapul na sapul. pero balance naman. nagaaral ako sa 2 instruments. (at parehas mahirap) drummer na lang kaya?! haha lols

tepok lamok ako dito.. huhu

-pag may hardcase, bigtime agad dating

-basta branded gears maganda agad tunog (SAPUL AKO DITO BRAND PERSON E)

-lagi naka on yung reverb pedal all the way sa lahat ng songs!
And baby if I need to, yeah I will keep you in the corner of my eye...

Weakness:

Investing in distortion boxes instead of a good amp.

Buying too many effects.

Not knowing the difference between tube watts and solid-state watts.

Relying too much on printed music and tabs.

Not investing in good earplugs for playing loud gigs.
