uy sorry ngayon lang ako naka-reply. it's a 55-200VR mounted on a D40x. for wide-angle shots, it's a sigma 10-20.

haxo55, i set my camera to shutter speed priority, and these speeds vary depending on lighting condition and movement of the performer. ISO is 800 or 1600.

yung f4-5.6 saken, mahal yung bagong version eh. 
ok naman performance. mabilis ang AF motor nya. medyo mahirap lang ang composition dahil kung gusto mo ng 10mm-warped shots, kailangan mo talagang lumapit sa performer.

gusto ko din kasi iexplore yung concert photography,
kala ko nung una madali lang siya,
pero nung nasabak na ko, nataranta ko,
noisy pictures, hindi ko macapture yung lightings na nasa isip ko, medyo may mga blurred,
ang hirap pala talaga kumuha ng shots sa mga gig/concerts,

kaya saludo ko sainyo mga sir

^lupet nga ng ISO handling sa 1600. eh diba ang D90 kapareho nalang ng sensor ng D300? (i think..) anong speed & aperture mo jan? it seems maganda ang lighting sa gig na yan ah.

jmavendan, ganyan yung isa sa mga gusto kong shots - yung parang naririnig mong kumakanta kahit picture lang. nice capture. 

haxo, check mo yung mga previous posts ko dito sa thread about using shutter speed priority to minimize the chances of getting blurred shots during concerts/gigs.

dantuts, i dont use flash at all. (sayang kasi yung stage lights)

yup, same lang. F/2.8 1/800th. Haha. Kayang-kaya mag ISO200 pa. Actually, low budget yung nag-organize niyan. Binawi sa ilaw yung tunog.

i know it's wide open coz it's f2.8, pero sobrang bilis ng 1/800 na ss. and if you say na kayang-kaya sa ISO200, then my estimate speed would be 1/125 siguro. that show must have been very well lighted.
seriously bro, if i'd be able to shoot a concert at 1/80 or 1/125 at ISO 800, then i'd always be a happy man. you are lucky to be able to shoot at that speed.
