im back to the dark side..

in terms of usability mas oks ang D90 kesa sa D5000 (although may similarities sila) kasi may dedicated controls ang D90 at mabilis mong maseset up lahat kapag meron kang gustong kunan..

First, you have to figure out what's the camera for? Just for a hobby ba? Wana go semi-pro or pro? Once you figure that out, maraming cameras available. Para rin you won't be wasting money on gear that won't fit your needs. Or if you can afford high-end pro DSLRs for your hobby, go! Sarap. :-)

Canon all the way since digital cams started, from a bunch of Ixus to 400D, 40D and now 5D2. How can one not love its primes, its lens collection. And now video with such lenses! :-)

Sabi sa isang review na nabasa ko, If fun factor is your main concern the Nikon D5000 certainly fits the bill. With built in image editing options, and the articulated LCD it seems ideal for a family looking to record trips, family events, and special occasions. On the other hand the Canon Rebel T1i (or 500D) seems ideal for the budding photographer ready to move up into the financial sink hole that is DSLR photography. With the ability to capture more detail, and beautifully large and crisp LCD display, it seems to take a more serious approach to taking great photos.

Pero parang mas madaming magagawa sa D5000, hay.. Ang gulo! :? If you read the comparison chart dun sa link na binigay ko, parag mas madaming magandang features yung Nikon.

yep in a way I have no love lost for Canon since Canon ang una kong camera (Canon EOS 1000f Film SLR) at maganda ang 500D in its own way.. pero try mo rin pre since naka Canon ka na why not try Nikon? tapos decide ka once you start to stray away from entry-level and to the semi serious Midrange bracket.. for sure malalaman mo na ang camera that fits you.  :-D

pero if you decide na mag 500D post mo kaagad dito ang reviews at pictures mo oks? hehehe

-- curious din ako sa 500D eh.. --

Hehehe, yeah. Sabagay, wala namang mawawala if I try Nikon dahil halos parehas lang talaga silang 2 eh. Mas mahal lang yung Canon. And just to clear things up a little about dun lens compatibility issue ng D5000 compatible naman pala sya with most popular lenses (eh, ano-ano ba yung mga popular lenses ng Nikon?).

Can anybody clarify this?

BTW, I have a D90 planning to sell it then buy a Canon  :-D
