The International Music Software Trade Association represents the interests of music software and soundware publishers. One of our most important functions is to advocate for the legal use of software in the music production and creation landscape. We do this primarily through public education campaigns. We are supported by our members who are software and soundware developers, distributors, retailers and publications.
IMSTA has an executive board comprised of respected members of the music software and soundware industry.

What is be-cool.org?
Be-cool.org is an international community of music software developers, music software distributors, musicians, artists, sound professionals, music retailers and music publications fused together with the singular goal of reducing software theft.
Be-cool.org's message, "Buy the Software You Use", has been widely circulated through its website and a variety of print ads in major industry publications. The website has also provided a forum for interested parties to discuss software theft and the opportunity for musicians and studios to add their names to a published list of piracy-free users.
