There is a thread dedicated to Japanese guitarists so I thought of creating one for Japanese drummers. I used the search function and couldn't find similar threads.

Mods, if this happens to be a duplicate thread, please delete or lock it. Thanks! :-)

Now for the question:

Does anybody here listen to Japanese bands? What can you say about their drummers?

I just saw him now and he is really good. :-)

But I also like Junji from Siam Shade. :-D

I'll go check 'em out. I'm not genre specific. I listen to whatever sounds good. :-)

hmm. 2 japanese bands whose drummers' work i admire are boris and animetal. yung iba mga obscure avant-garde black metal ek-ek na. haha.
kung di mo alam, isipin muna ang GMG bago ang lahat: Google Mo, G**O!

isa po sa all time favorite na japanese band ko ung post-rock/mathrock band na "Toe"

ang drummer ng band eh si takashi kashikura. Pinakagusto kong album nila ung "the book about my idle plot on a vague anxiety". I think pwede din magqualify ung guitarists nila.. he hee.. astig din ung bassist.

I'm a big fan of Kiyoshi Ijichi, drummer of Asian Kung-Fu Generation.

astig din yang si Cornelius... elibs ako dyan.. may sarili ring tunog yan eh... Alam ko kapag sya na ang tumutugtog..
