Any swimmers here?  Naisip ko lang gawan ng thread nung nag-post ako sa gymaholics about gyms with swimming pools.

Post your training routines here!  Or where to find good swimming pools (not the dinky bean-shaped pools).  Or tips on technique.  Basta related to swimming!

di ko naman matatawag na swimmer sarili ko. but i know how to do freestyle, breast stroke and back stroke.

i swim because of my asthma. sa marikina sports complex ako nagsswim. olympic size na pool.

Layo naman po (sa akin).  Pero ok nga daw dun.  Ako nga din, gusto ko lang talaga mag-swimming for fitness.  What's your routine like?

I had a swimming PE class in college, and I really liked it.  We took turns across the width of the pool to build our stamina, tapos final exam one full 50m lap.  I never thought I could swim that far!  And I felt real great during those times, like I was so alive and ready for anything.

If only I could find a pool that's accessible and with good rates...

routine? wala eh..kahit anong gusto ko lang..

pero usually warm up muna ako..freestyle lang..50m isang lap tapos pahinga..tapos sisid..mas gusto ko sumisid eh!

pag wala masyadong tao sa pool backstroke ako..at floating!

freestyle 200m - 20 laps (pag walang masyadon tao sa pool), pag marami, I only do 10 laps.
breast stroke 50m - 2 laps
combination 100m - 4 laps
dolphin kicks 100m - 1 lap
Bakit hindi ka pwedeng mapuyat sa umaga?

Di ba 50m lang official pool size(25m short course)?  So freestyle 200m is like 4 laps, or 8 laps on a short course?  I don't get it.   :?

And what' your clock on that?  That's a lot of cardio there!   :-o

I guess I'm used to counting two turns as 1, hehe.

very nice thread!  sana i-post mo din dito yung post mo about gyms with swimming pools and if possible how much ang membership.

i'm also looking for swimming pools in Makati Area.  i have not yet checked Makati Sports Club but most probably mahal ang membership dun.  if possible sana merong per month or something, without requiring membership.

I don't remember what I posted in another thread, but I think nagtatanong din ako about swimming pools.   :lol:  I got discouraged, but the plan back then was to use swimming as 4x a week cardio.

Interested ako magswimming uli! I actually bought goggles, cap, and swim shorts uli kasi we'll start next week na. Any swimmers here? I'm not really good haha pero I enjoy practicing.

Mga ilang years na rin hindi nakakapagpractice! Yung tipong laps talaga. And siguro mas mahina na stamina ko ngayon. Mga 200m kaya ko noon freestyle, siguro ngayon 50m solve na agad haha

Anyway, any advice kung pano magtumble turn? I really want to learn that, last time I tried pumasok sa ilong ko ang tubig.
