Premier drums seem to have these lug issues.

I tried this 12" Premier auxiliary snare drum in 19 East once.  Later on near the end of our gig, I noticed that some lug screws got loose.  The bass drum of the new Premier drumkit in Gig Studio Cubao also has a similar problem.  The guys at Gig kept on re-screwing them, but it still sets loose later on.  Nakaka-frustrate para sa mga taga-Gig, parang gusto na nga nilang i-Mighty Bond yung mga screws hehe!

Is this a common Premier issue?

Sa tingin ko oo. Pati yung bass drum sa Transound ganun din ang problem.

i remember its a teflon tape something that looks like this its prety much cheap,

yep teflon is cheap. something more generally available would be cotton (bulak). kuha ka lang ng small part tapos ipulupot mo din tulad ng teflon dun sa tension rod and voila

That's right, JP!  That's what I dig about Yupangco.  They have stocks of Pearl spare parts.  If they don't have it, just let them know so that they can include it on their next shipment.

Ayos ba, JP?  Libreng plug-in uli yan haha ubo! ubo!   :-D

Yung spare parts ko kasi para sa Tama Starclassic snare drum, pina-order ko pa kay Vinci.  Well, that's not a bad thing; buti na lang at nandyan si Vinci.  But it would have been easier for me if there are some Tama spare parts available locally.

I don't think it was a wear and tear issue.  It was there since the kit was new.  At first I thought it was the heads, but even after I replaced the heads the problem was still there.  Hmmm... Maybe I should start looking into Pearl?

Good thing that doesn't happen to my Trusty XPK.

*hacking cough*

hold on....maybe I should say: "Thankfully it hasn't happened yet to my kit"

It's "LEI" not "LEE"

I have been having problems with the lugs of my Premier kit.  They seem to loosen up on their own while I'm playing on them.  It's annoying that I have to retune the toms every 4 or so songs.  Has anybody else encountered this problem?  How did you go about solving it?

Thanks for your answers!

PS>  If anybody has a spare Premier tuning lug please let me know.  I broke one one my snare so I had to get one from one of the other toms.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Please bring your snare drum to Audiophile Paco tel. 588-0922.

Thanks!  I'm really planning to drop by there to see if I could buy an extra lug (the part stuck on the drum shell).  Could you give me an idea how much they cost?  Are they available per piece?  Thanks!
