Advantages and Disadvantages of having 2 or more kits

having more than 1 kit is like having more than 1 car. may options ka sa tone quality w/c one to use on gigs and w/c one to use on recordings. ang disadvantage ko lang na nakikita ay decision kung ano gagamitin mo

YUng Tama ko pinaparent ko sa mga functions. Yung Jungle Kit at Export ang naka imbak sa Hardcase at Yung Burst Gretsch ang naka Set Up.


Advantage? Sarap lang ng feeling na meron kang maraming Kits.

Disadvantage? Setting Up, Maintainance, and it occupies large part of my room.

I have two kits: Tama Rockstar Deluxe and Roland TD3-SW Vdrums

Yung Tama Rockstar nasa bahay ng parents ko. Iniwan ko nung mag-asawa na ko. I get to go there on weekends kaya sabik ako sa acoustic.

I got Roland TD3 vdrums para sa condo dahil di ko kaya na walang drums sa bahay.

Still, wala pa rin akong halos time mag-practice pero masarap pa rin ang feeling na meron magagamit

I plan to have 2 acoustic (i have a regal set right now, but i plan to buy a branded kit when i have the money), and 1 digital.

Advantages:
 - More sounds to play dahil ang balak ko smaller size (10", 12", 14" 18" / 20" BD) yung isa (although sayang yung 12" shell dahil meron na ako sa standard kit ko.

 - More stands to put cymbals in (although wala akong hardware in my current kit  )

All in all, more experimentation with the sounds you can create.


Disadvantages:
 - Magastos
 - Technicolored kit (if you consider it a disadvantage)
 - Tedious set-up and maintenance for live performance and recording


I don't know if bars permit you to use your own electronic / digital kit, pero that's why i plan to invest on one kasi mas madaling dalhin and mas madali i-mix dahil preset na tunog nya, no overtones. Problema nga lang, monitors dahil sakit pa rin ng sound systems ng pinas ang monitors although i have played with sound systems with great monitors. Pero mabibilang....

1 fernando acoustic kit (nasa pinas)
1 legacy dd506 electric kit (and2 sa australia)
and
1 make up kit... ang taray diba.. bongga galore... ehehehehe! (nasa kikay  kit ko)

advantage din the two kits na naka-setup is mas madali magturo ng drums. hindi na yung tayo-up kayo parehas ng tinuturuan mo kung may ipapakita kang drum lick.

disadvantage, 2 drumkits = 2 set of cymbals and pedals. magastos. mabusisi and malaking space ang kakainin sa bahay/kwarto.

choices which tom to lug around or use

thus, I have only one kit but plan to get a few toms.

having two kits kits is like having two girlfirend or two wife at the same time haha, magastos and space consuming and it will take a lot of your time sa maintenance....well kung personal use medyo si sya practical..not unless you really have the dough for it..siguro its advisable to have more than one kit kung busness purpose ang gagawin mo like studio or rentals

more possibilities sound wise
kung magipit and if you really need money you can sell one but still have the other one to play drummer ka pa din na may drumset
then use the excess money to pimp up the one that was left even more
