mga sir, anong maganda drum head para sa 16" floor tom ko na cinonvert ko into bass drum? currently naka ec2 yung floor tom ko, balak kong palitan kapag naging bass drum na siya. catalina maple po yung floor tom. thanks!

stick with the EC2's. pasok sa punch and impact for a jungle kick type setup.

it was paolo rosal who did the skins for the "luha" album.

Paano po malalaman size ng drum heads?

kapag brand new mo nabili, meron naman naka-indicate na size sa box or plastic niya. if you got it stock or 2nd hand, you could manually measure it using a tape measure.

mga braders tulong naman.. sino ba gumagamit dito ng guitarpro tabs?
meron kasi kami acoustic performance sa office namin this coming May..
at wala kaming drummer, pa help naman mag program ni drum beats sa guitarpro
ang setup kasi namin is 1 vocalist, 2 guitarist, and Bass..
then gagamit kami ng guitarpro to simulate the drums.. then kakabit sa mixer/speakers..
lahat ng songs namin meron ng drumbeats courtesy of ultimateguitartabs..
peru ung isa namin kanta wala pa.. forevermore ng side A.. wala kong mahanap na forevermore na merong drums eh..
i tried doing it myself mejo tricky pala gawin.. 
mahirap tlaga siguro kung di ka naman na natural na drummer.. hahaha
anyway meron bang makakatulong sakin dito na iprogram ung mga notes sa guitarpro??  salamat ng marami!

mga bossing first post ko!

i am just a newbie drummer around 2-3 months enjoying and getting the hang of it. i bought a GTX kit for starters and a sabian cymbal pack and gibraltar pedal. ganito kase, yung isang kakilala ko gusto ring matuto mag drums so sabi ko sa kanya bibenta ko sa kanya at half the price ang GTX  kit tatago ko ang gibraltar and sabians.

now bibili ako ng bagong kit at iniisip ko magiipon ako to buy yung Ludwig Accent CS Combo kase meron naman akong cymbals. 65% more ang pricing ng Ludwig dito sa amin. so, do you think ill bite the bullet at kukunin ang ludwig or is there another kit at the same price. hindi ako makakapa up ng savings ko kase medyo taghirap din sa probinsya. [which means di ako makakabili off the FS section dito sa PM]

i want to know
1. kung nag s-scale up din ba ang ludwig shells kung maganda ang heads?
2. matibay ba ang hardware para sa inyo?

yung mga binibentang kits dito:

Fernando - medyo mas mahal kesa sa GTX pero parang heads lang pansin ko na iba
Ludwig Accent CS Combo - eto target ko

I'd either go for Ludwig Accent or Yamaha Stage Custom

if your looking for a bang for the buck purchase. matibay

at maganda ang tunog, ok din ang resale value should you

decide to upgrade eventually. your choice of heads

depends on the sound you're looking for actually, go for

coated heads for warm sounds, clear heads for open,

ringy sounds. for the set themselves, projection-wise, I'd

go for the stage custom if your looking at using the set for

live or open air setups (or kung may events or parties etc).

kung tamang pambahay lang pwede na yung ludwig

accent, pwede din for live or open air, just do good micing

on 'em and you should be all good!

hard to figure out the exact model pero zildjian daw yung model ng hats na ginamit niya dito.

pwede siya sa 12" tom as long as yung model ng opti na bibilhin mo is Pearl OPT1112 para kasya sa 12" tom mo. optimounts would enable your 12" tom to resonate fully, at saka mas stable yung mount system niya IMO vs ISS/top mounted style tom holder.

a.) Ludwig Accent CS Combo ba? kasi if i were you, I'd go for the Accent CS custom/elite set instead. good clean tone, pretty decent punch and projection since birch ang shells nito. decent all rounder, ganda pa ng hardware IMO.

b.) Tama Swingstar - pretty decent beginner set. poplar ang wood nito, aka "poor man's maple" so decent warmth and punch given the right heads and tuning. I'd go for the superstars though (birch wood), just up the budget a bit more, madami sa classifieds if it may interest you.

c.) Yahama Stage Custom - the best among your choices IMO. birch yung wood niya so at par ito with the accent elite CS custom/elite. thin shells nito so round and fat yung sound, projection wise sobrang linis ang bato ng tunog. I'd go for this one given the 3 choices you presented. you could go for the alternate options I suggested as well, given na puro birch ang selection mo.

well, may difference(s) talaga. ang branded mas matibay at makapal compare sa generic. syempre pati price may pagkakaiba din. Try mo rin mag post ng ad sa ating Classfields: Drums And Percussion sub forum sir. hope nakatulong

try lazer, meron ako nabili vater drum mutes dati dun eh. not to sure though if they still carry it though pero AFAIR nasa 2.5K+ na yung buong set ng drum mutes (toms/snare/bass drum). mura for a set IMO.

(ang hirap i identify dahil sa dami ng klase ng Rides e, pero ayon sa vid K zildjian sya, siguro nsa 20-22 inch,  hndi ko alam kung pre-aged ba, dry, or etc. help naman po i identify kung nong klase ng K-Zildjian Ride yung exact na ginamit sa Vid / link sa baba)

go for med heavy to heavy weight rides, 20-22 sized; pasok yan sa hinahanap mo. as per specific brands, there's too many to mention. criteria na lang yung sinabi ko para at least you have an idea kung anong hahanapin mo.
