Thanks mga bro. I'm really curious about those Wuhan New Traditional Hi-Hats. "Light" and "thin" un sound nya. Sizzly. Unfortunately, as one forumite said, it isn't available here sa Pinas. I'm currently using an xs20 hi-hat. Medium/Heavy ata un combination nito I'm not sure. I'm mostly playing gospel rock so I think mas suited for that un "lighter" hats than the one I'm using.

Hi bro, Anong sound ba habol mo? Most light hats now Medium Thin Top/Medium or medium heavy bottom. Some forumers here mix-match theirs, like using 14 thin crashes as top hats.
Maybe you can define yung hinahanap mong sound then go from there. I also play in church and alternative genre, Gusto ko ng monster chick sound but with clean sound pag open/semi open hats.

nope. wood hoops are just like die cast hoops, stiff and muffles the head. pinagkaiba lang nila, walang metallic ring ang rimshot mo kapag wood hoops.
sir, hindi ba nakakasira sa wood hoop ang mga rim shot hits?! drumstick-to-wood hoop contact?! kasi 95% of my playing is always rim shots..

if you don't mind bro, ill answer your queries thru the post sir inigo..  :)

Pro: Nice warm sound, of which the difference from a cast or flanged hoop is significantly noticeable, if you're playing quiet songs, and in good sounding venues.

Con: Another thing that needs replacement every now and then.
Con: I can't hear the difference from cast/flanged hoop when played with loud guitars.

Basically "tom holder" talaga. Minsan naman "tom-cymbal holder." Pero yung mga brands put their own catchy names like Pearl's "Tri-Clamp" na pwedeng 2 attachments.

Suggestion lang, instead of using clamps, why not use a stand na may 1 inch tubing, like this

to replace:
remove snare wires and bottom head of snare.
unscrew the old throw off from inside the drum shell.
replace the old throw off with the new one (bago bumili, make sure na magkaparehas ng distance ng mounting holes yung bagong throw off sa lumang throw off. to be safe, bring the old one pag bibili ka para ma-compare mo side-by-side)
after screwing the new throw off securely in place, replace bottom head and snare wire.
if nothing else is broken or loose, the snare drum could take a beating again.
 :)
