The first car was a Ford. But surely they ain't the best car manufacturer nowadays.

Guitarists become legendary for the connection they make with people at large.  That in itself is a feat.

Jimmy Page created the best songs in the studio, but he was sloppy as sh1t live.  But that doesn't alter my respect for the guy.

Slash may not be the most technical player in the world, but I'd bet that in your lifetime you couldn't make a lick as beautiful as Sweet Child O Mine.  That is a feat.

EVH by now is an ordinary guitarist by today's technical standards.  But he took guitar to a different level.
