i dont know where to post this...kaya d2 muna, pwd naman i move ng mods kapag bawal dito.

sino dito may HDTV sa bahay nila?

magaganda kasi quality ng videos nila, yung mga naka diplay sa mall, ang lilinaw, pero pag nasa bahay na....malinaw parin ba?

im planning to buy one, im not sure if its worth it.

guys advice naman kau?

hnd pa naman digital transmission ang mga tv stations sa pinas, kaya hnd ko rin ma aappreciate ung digital receiver niya.

ung DVDs, ano difference sa CRT versus sa LCD na HDTV?

parehas lang ba?

meron kaming Philips na 32", tama ka nga useless yung digital receiver niya kasi panay analog pa dito sa Pinas. Pero pagdating sa DVD hiidi rin gano naglalayo yung quality sa CRT, pero nasabi ko lang ito kasi pirated dvd's namin so hindi formatted for wide screen.

meron kaming philips 42", ok sya pag hdmi yung player nyo maski pirated ok, medyo nde ok sa cable kase nde hd yung format nya, kaya nilalagay ko sa maliit na setting yung screen pa mas malinaw

mas malinaw talaga ang hdtv sa dvd vs. crt

yung hdmi cable bigay lang ng office mate ng tatay ko... yung mura lang...

sabi nung nagkabit nung tv sa bahay yung mga magandang hdmi cable umaabot ng 15K..

got a sony bravia 50" - 1080p - living room
and an Insignia 47" - 1080p for my bedroom.

they're both awesome.

hdmi is the way to go for inputs. i also get those awesome tv shows on HD. its like watching people live and you can touch them.

you buy this HDTV..it doesnt matter if its 720p or 1080p..so you chuck your old tv because you were amazed at the picture quality when you saw the demo at the store...

so you installed the tv...tested it with your old trusty dvd player...you were shocked and you felt cheated when you saw those grainy(noisy) and pixelated pictures...tapos malalaman mo na you need to upgrade your dvd player din pala to something that has an upscaling capability...and shempre, pag bumili ka ng dvd player na may HDMI, the seller will also try to convince you to get one of those MONSTER cables which cost a whopping Php2,500 each kasi sobrang ganda daw ng kalalabasan pag yun ginamit mo...

so ayun, you got that good picture quality na din at last...pero HDTV yun binili mo so manood ka din ng tv programs...ang nakakalungkot, wala pang cable company sa pinas na nag ooffer ng HD signal...so pag nanood ka ng TV patrol, kita mo yung tigyawat ni Ted Failon pero pixelated...eh you got used to watching HD movies na nga di ba? so dismayado ka na naman...after eons, ayan na, may HD signal na tayo. but the price to upgrade your cable tv to HD costs a months worth of long distance calls to Mars...

you get the picture?

its a chain reaction which will definitely cost you a lot of money. but if you can afford it, why nuts?

dito kasi where I am, maraming stations na HD na ang broadcast. Me problema din, kasi, kelangan mo ng HD receiver na cable box to get the HD channels. It cost money to get that HD receiver. Anyway, yung mga TV ko eh medyo me daya. Kasi the channels go to 999. Madalas, na-scramble nya yung HD channels, kasi karamihan ng nag-broadcast nito eh local, so malapit lang. Iba kasi ang signal ng HD kesa sa Analog. I can't say its illegal, kasi yung TV ko na mismo ang automatic na nakakakuha, I didn't buy any extra gadgets to do that. Plus, I only get the network stuff.

ang matindi neto eh come February 2009, analog broadcast sa U.S. will be abolished and Digital broadcast ang papalit. So mas magand kung mas mataas ang resolution ng tv mo, kaya I prefer the 1080p.

grabe naman ang mahal ng HDMI cables, kahit dito.

me downside ang HD, kasi dati sanay na tayo na ang gaganda talaga ng mga artista. tapos pag HD na, pati yung kulugo ng tagyiwat ng blackhead nila eh kita.

maganda lang to pag sports, lalo na ang football, baseball saka golf. sarap ding panoorin ang mga action shows, like CSI Miami, CSI New York, 24 - yung maraming outdoor scenes.

HD is no use here in the Philippines.

to enjoy HD, u need to buy a DVD with upscaling capability and an HDMI cable.

pero it dsnt matter para sa akin

we got the cable for free, DVD with 1080P upscaling capability for 5k only with home theater 5.1 surround sound.

and 32" Samsung series 6

@Tam - anong brand nyang nabili mong dvd player? naka package na ba jan yung 5.1 sound system? at san mo na-score yang series 6 Samsung kasi may kilala ako na sobrang mura ng benta nyan..

not using TiVo. Am using DVR. I beg to disagree with frizky, my Sony kicks ass. Hindi compulsory ang upgrade, you only need to have cable.

pag wala kang cable eh wala kang makukuhang signal.
