I saw a couple of Aria Pro II Magna guitars that look good although I'm not an expert in testing guitars so I don't know how reliable the products are.

Do a lot of you here know this place? They've got 2nd hand bass and electric guitars for 4-5K. They also have amps, a few keyboards, acoustic guitars and afaik all the products are 2nd-hand shipped from Japan.

wala naman akong nakitang Gibson or Fender dun...pero ang alam ko puro MIJ yung mga products nila dun. based on looks, majority of the guitars are not in good shape. yung mga magaganda siguro, napakyaw na ng ibang tao. i think if you want to find a good guitar there, you should test around 60% of the stuff there.

joke?! Never ako nakakita ng gibson dun mukhang sinabi lang para bumalik talaga mga tao dun. May nakita ko dati squier pero never fender. I pass this store almost everyday. Mostly workable guitars nandun. Workable meaning may mga dapat ayusin/adjust/palitan. Kung ok ba yung mga guitars? Di masasagot yan kasi iba iba condition ng mga binebenta nila. May iba na mas ok na bumili ka na lang ng bago may iba naman na pwedeng pwede pa.

Yup all their items come from Japan daw. The guitars there right now mostly aren't in good condition pero siguro pag may bagong dating makakahanap naman ng maganda...

re: their stock, I'd expect to have to replace everything: bridge, pickups, tuners, etc. Ang importante, yung kahoy dapat acoustically resonant. You can test this just by strumming, even unplugged. If it feels dead when you strum it, put it down and move on to the next guitar.

marami ngang tama ang mga gitara at yung iba eh parang kinabitan lang ng strings at isinabit dun, almost 80% eh kakailanganin mong dalhin sa luthier bago gamitin, pero oks na rin at yung presyo naman nila eh pang barag na gitara na.. madaming fernandes, photogenic tsaka aria pro.. yung iba di ko alam kung anong tatak yun, may mga bass guitars din at karamihan ng mga mejo ok ang condition eh mga bass guitars.
meron ding mga acoustic, napansin ko lang eh mga classical guitar yung iba dun pero "steel" strings ang nakakabit.. (so for sure tutungo ang neck nun) meron ding mga keyboards na mura and ofcourse mga mini-amplifiers na 10-15-20watts.. walang malalaki akong nakita (o baka nakatago lang)

sayang di lang set neck sabi ng isang friend ko michael bolton daw hehe.. pero makapal yung body. dami din paint cracks/peel akala ko cracked wood, tinuklap ko yung paint and the wood was fine, paint lang talaga.

just wanted to share to you the experience.. i was just disappointed when i saw the initial prices for these.. and to think that i already paid for a bundle of stuff.. gahhh.. i just felt tricked in some way.. the others who got their hands for good stuff, i think it's worth the price pa din cguro.. if only everything there was as good as what they got.. haay.. hehehe..

onga sir eh.. when i got back the day after, madami dami pa din nagsulputan na ok.. i believe they were graved under those pile of junk the first day those arrived.. i stayed there for at least an hour trying to convince them na ibenta nalang sa akin ng seprate ung naka bundle na guitar na gusto ko.. they got to the fone in the end but was still unlucky.. hehe..

kwento ng kaibigan ko na bumili ng Legend LP (strat? ewan ko): nung nagtanung siya kung meron pang bagong dating na stock, dinala siya sa isang kwarto sa likod na madaming nakatambak na guitars. madami daw nakakahon pa, mukhang hindi pa nabubuksan ng personnel. Hindi daw ata sila naglalabas ng bagong stock hangga't walang nabibili dun sa naka-display.Thanks sa tip kung paano ko to ittest ang resonance ng wood.

re: their stock, I'd expect to have to replace everything: bridge, pickups, tuners, etc. Ang importante, yung kahoy dapat acoustically resonant. You can test this just by strumming, even unplugged. If it feels dead when you strum it, put it down and move on to the next guitar.

got a no-namer super quality Strat here for 1.8k, black with maple fingerboard (Blackie, anyone?). for me it's better than some Standard MIM Fenders :-DOf course because it's yours. I agree with sir los, Ive been there bago lang sila dont remember late 2009 early 2010 i think. All of their guitars have low prices even for photogenic lespaul copies..2-3k almost lahat.. but then since dumami na buyer nila PM forumer, a dad who wants to buy a guitar for church or for their sons, hobbyists, collectors etc and some local celebrity guitar players started to visit their store.( I even saw kitchie nadal once looking around ). They are taking that opportunity to add prices to their products. Nagulat ako sa mark up ng prices nila from 2009 from the prices now. Baka stock pa yung iba. I also used to think pcpark japan is a goldmine. But now..mas ok pa bumili ka nalang ng brand new sx tele sa jb or sa forum nalang which has the same price at least every thing is rest assured intact and in good condition. Hindi na rin practical for a project guitar which can cost you more for repairs modifications etc.
Although again thats my personal preference. If you want to buy there go..Just don't go with the hype. Trust your own instincts..i would say.

Visited this place last Tuesday, hoping to find a nice guitar as my second Gear... Dami ding magaganda.. but aside from the fact na my mga dings ung guitara, im not sure if the sound quality is as good.. my mga pedals din (in Makati Branch) and tuners...

its best na lang pumunta ng Japan if one is capable. kalabanin pa ang PC park kung kaya.
yun nga lang, we also have to take the depreciation of the peso into consideration. nag cocompound yan. maaring say 4% a year. but if it has been 5 years since, say PC park was "cheap", that's like 20% loss in the purchasing power of the peso.

mga masters, tanong ko lang, given na pangit ang state ng guitars nila... how about the amps? :) gusto ko kasi bumili ng acoustic-electric amp kahit 10w lang :) sabi ng kausap ko sa phone dun mga 1.3k-1.8k daw...i suggest if limited ang budget mo i test mo na sa pc park. IMHO may mga acoustic amp sa classifieds na mas worth ng time and money mo. Nasa 5k pataas nga lang
so options:
1. buy from pcpark
2. mamuti ang mata ko kakahanap ng acoustic amp for sale
3. bumili (at mamulubi) sa bago :)

Few years back, I acquired a very cheap but very good sounding Solid State Practice Guitar Amp and I was more than satisfied....
Lately, i was hunting for a good and very cheap keyboard/midi controller and their prices are extremely high considering the condition of their items.... This is not limited to KB items, guitar and other items (everything in the store) are priced extremely high!!! :-o

This! OA nga.. dati ok naman price nila. nagulat sila daming excited siguro. and collectors. pero hindi lahat collectors.
puro garbage items talaga dito. cguro 20 to 30% ang "pwede na" 5% ang ok talaga

Parang may nakita ako sa FB about their warehouse sale coming up soon. While i do agree that most of their guitars are close to junk, try mo pa din icheck out kung hindi naman hassle sayo. Masaya kaya magtingin tingin ng guitars heheOu sarap mag experience ng ibat ibang guitar .

Nung naghire na sila ng mga may alam sa guitars.... Ayun wala na..... Dahil alam na nila ang mga magagandang guitars, sila mismomg mga staffs ang nag uunahan sa pagbili ng magaganda tapos yung iba sobrang overprice nila......
I remember bumili ako ng guitar..... Babayaran ko na pero biglang hold ako..wait daw muna kung avail pa daw yung guitar or baka may bumili na. Sabi ko pano magiging sold e nasa mga display pa.Pumasok pa sa loob ang mga staff at eventually masama yung mukha na ibinenta sa akin yung guitar.
I would say sulit yung nabili kong guitar....kaso bihira dahil ang makikita mo ngayon sa pc park ay napagpilian na.

dati talaga hindi nila alam yung binebenta nila. minsan may nag post ng lumang Tokai, meron kasi akong important detail na hinahanap sa mga lumang tokai
eh malabo yung photo, pero gut feel ko yun yon. a friend said, "naah". nung nabili na at nakita ko may additional pics. dang yun yon. ganda ng presyo. the next old tokai
they had went at 25 ata. mas valuable yun na una pero mura benta. sayang.
then nung may mga marunong na sa mga gitara, i found of them overpriced talaga. back then kung yung gitara dapat 16k lang ( kasi ganun sa philmusic) , binebenta nila ng 21 or 25
as for Pier, i went that route na din. nagtanong tanong ako. and the oldies there told me, marami nang may mga connections sa mga yun. of course may katapat na
compensation kung may nahahanap na "gems".
sabi pa nga nung isang ale sa akin doon, "nako sir, alam ko yang hinahanap niyo. maganda po mga yun. hindi lang po kayo naghahanap nun. marami po kayo. may mga
kausap na nga po yung iba. matagal na pong ganun"
so the way i see it, if you really want to make your mark with them, money talks, that is if they have no loyalty, at baka naman at the end of the day, mas mapagastos ka pa sa pakikipag
politiko sa mga tagaroon at bigay compensation.
if you want crappy guitars or something you can leave in your 2nd house or tambayan na hindi ka kakabahan na mananakaw...or if you want to practice guitar repairing etc. marami sila doon.
I'd rather save up and go to japan or buy a good local guitar kung yun lang....
