Making Your Own Backing Track - HELP!
« on: April 29, 2010, 05:42:29 PM »
Hello there!  :-D I play the guitar and I am clueless as to what software I am supposed to use if I want to create my own backing track.

Also, I want to make it in such a way that the output is in mp3 format.

Can anybody help me?

I use FL studio very pro quality and very easy to use (just read the manual for a bit) you can render it as MP3 and many other formats

If you want something that you can download for free and that's very user friendly, check out Audacity and PC Drummer :-)

Audacity is the easiest.

Launch Audacity then Record na agad.

i recommend this...

http://openmpt.com/

yun nga lang, some learning required, but MIDI programs are much more intimidating.

i also used scream tracker, impulse tracker, modplug tracker... tapos ngayon may open modplug
tracker (open source).

never liked fruity loops (interface), or cubase/cakewalk (overwhelming interface)... no offense to users.

plus, there are a lot samples available out there... download a song in *.mod, *.s3m, *.it ... and you can
use the samples you like.

admittedly, module trackers are not popular here, pero there was a time, in european countries, that
mod ruled over midi... midi sounded awful back then.

seriously, if you have the patience to learn it... it will be very rewarding.

Thank you so much for the replies guys! Honestly, I find myself bombarded with a lot of technical terms here.  :? It was only recently that I found myself more interested in these kind of things.  :-D

Again, thanks! I'll be trying out the suggestions you have given me.
