I auditioned the 12-fret parlors acoustic guitars at Lazer Ali Mall. Really nice for their price but unfortunately, just 1 stock for each of the 2 models. I really wish you could back order or something.

it sounded fine.. big sounding actually.. the strings were also pretty light on my hands.. parang masarap siya gamitin kahit sa upper registers.. unfortunately, parang it lacked some top end.. it sounds big but doesn't have much of that high frequencies pronounced..

for around 10k.. hmm.. ok lang.. much better than my 10k Ibanez AEG..

The OM-7 has a solid cedar top and rosewood back and sides (not sure if they're laminate or solid, probably laminate due to the price point). The lack of frequency if most probably due to the old strings. Lazer doesn't change them and they're months old.

Still wish they could ship a few more 12-fret parlors because the ones I played had wood damage inside but the personnel insisted that it wasn't.

nahh.. they are new strings bro.. or to say the least, hindi naman luma at laspag.. they still have that smoothness and shine on them.. ayun.. mejo nabitin lang ako sa top end.. baka hindi ko siya maappreciate for plucking stuff.. i'm more of a plucker kasi than a strummer pagdating sa acoustic.. kaya importante sa akin na balanced yung lahat ng tunog.. but that was just one model that i've tried.. pauwi na kasi kami nun, medyo nagmamadali narin.. ayoko lang talaga umalis ng hindi ako nakakasubok since i've been really intrigued with those GB acoustics..

cheap price.. solid top (sana lang decent yung quality ng solid top).. fishman electronics (kahit cheap fishman.. at least fishman parin.. unlike sa ibanez AEG ko which is uber crap..)

sana yung ibang models ay hindi ganun.. better try out some more..

YES boss..... tried both FR1 and FR2.... versatile lang talaga yung FR2 because it has 5 selector pickup plus humbucker..... yun nga lang you need to put good strings on it...... im going to buy one soon..... hehehehe nakakajejemon kasi yung ganda.......

magaganda kasi lahat, hindi ko lang alam ang pagkakaiba sa sounds.
BTW, regularly sa church ako tumutugtog, kaya mas gusto ko yung versatile sound. minsan ntugtog din ako sa labas

Of the three in terms of your criterion #2, I like UM3 the best. Siguro bias lang ako kasi I have that same model and color  

AV3 and UM3 have the same 2 x Seymour Duncan Design HB pickups, but I haven't tried the AV3 so I cannot comment much. But the UM3's sound with Duncan Design pickup is pretty decent, good if you play mostly metal (which I'm not, hence this lovely guitar fell into the hands of my son).

What I like the most is the feel of the neck ... very comfortable and suits me well.

Recently, I played mostly rock/blues so I guess I may have to GAS for the FA2 next. But for now, will make do with my Peavy Next Gen EXP muna.

here's what i have TORINO4 wine red, mine reflects light very exotic.... changes color depends on the light reflecting to it... dagdag pogi points.... plus the gold hardwares.... got it for almost 13k..... and upgraded pickup wiring.....

.... i think for me, this on is second to AVION6 or sumthing..... 3rd FORMULA2 and ULTRAMATIC 4th....

I tried it and was floored by the quality and tone especially for the price. Maganda tone ng lipstick pus nya pero medyo di ganun kaganda yung Duncan-designed HB bridge nya. Or maybe di siya bagay dun sa cheap amp na ginamit ko for testing.

Any of you guys tried splitting the coils on one of the Duncan-designed humbuckers? Musta tone?

bro eto ba yung sa LAZER SM MANILA? ive tried this one din after i bought mine.... some notes i could say about it.....

1. yung amp sa LAZER badtrip yan..... hindi mo talaga makukuha gusto mong tunog...

2. the strings on their models... hindi lang luma.... low quality pa ata... so that would really give you a minus sa tone clarity....

3. greg bennetts' seymour duncan HH designed humbuckers... DARK tone talaga.... i bought my TR4 way back this april.... and changed my PU settnings...

i split the neck HH pu to single.... and changed my strings to a nicer ones..... damn!!! its so fine na.... yang FR2 is nice bro.... actually when i had a chance ill buy it... 2 na lang nakitaan ko niyan... isang cream at yung nsa SM manila na red.... both good....

splitting the coild wouldn't hurt.... i put a connector so that i could put it back in place.... but im pretty satisfied with results now..... it crunchier and clearer... dark tones are solved....

last time, when i was searching for TORINO..... LAZER main office told me ALI mall has TR1 on stock and on sale... that was APRIL and MAY... hindi ko lang alam ngayon bro... and the 2nd copy TR1 also... at raon STAGE POINT... i dont know if the thing still exist hope this helped... good luck
