For firewire users, what's the difference between firewire streaming and usb streaming? Thanks.

so far, firewire gives me better transfers for data and lesser chances of errors.

Firewire is much faster (400–3200 MBPS).

Actually, FireWire is just a brand name used by Apple.. iLink naman sa Sony..  :wink:

It's what we call IEEE 1394 Standard..  :mrgreen:

Perpetual question on FW and USB.

Firewire (uninvit3d is correct, it's technical name is IEEE 1394) can handle  sustained transfer mbps rates while USB can handle faster burst rates, but not necessarily constant, which is important in transmitting audio and video data.
