Help on XP Themes.

Good evening. Galing ako sa school kanina, pero may nadaanan akong Computer Shop kaya nag rent muna ako para makapag check ng mail. nakita ko yung desktop ng mga pc nila. meron sila nung Dock na kagaya nung sa OS na mac. andun ung mga selected applications ng pc nila. tinanong ko yung nagbabantay, sabi niya themes daw yun ng xp. eh last night nghahanap na ako ng mga themes, pero hindi ako makahanp nung merong dock. baka naman po may alam kayo. pati na din ung procedures sa installation ng themes. thanks, God Bless.

XP Themes nga yun. Parang MAC yung dating diba? Ako naman, Vista themes for XP yung hinahanap ko. I've found programs to do that pero di ko napagana.  :-D

Base sa aking pananaliksik, usually kapag gusto mong gumamit ng mga 3rd-party (non-Microsoft) themes e you need 2 programs:

1. UX Theme MultiPatcher
2. Windows Blinds

Saka syempre you need the themes that you are going to apply. Gaya ng mga ito.

Ganito siguro yung nakita mo (see the first one).

Subukan mo maginstall at pag iyong napagana ay ako naman ang iyong turuan. (sensya na at napaka-tagalog ko ngayon, galing kasi ako sa GC at nabasa ko yung "PATULONG NAMAN AKO MGA KUYA" thread!)

*note: if there is this pesky pop-up dun sa site na ni-link ko, please use Firefox but first install the add-on NO SCRIPT. Pag naka-install ito, ipe-prevent nya yung popup. By the way, ingat ingat lang sa mga downloads baka may trojan!  :lol:

i think theyre using RocketDock

its a free program launcher. its tweakable so you can change its appearance. been using this for about a year now and no problems whatsoever.

its also embedded to BricoPack Vista Inspirat, a program that transforms your WinXP to look like Windows Vista

Walang adware o spyware? I actually downloaded Inspirat 1.1 noon pero takot kong i-install. Ang sabi kasi: "BricoPack Vista Inspirat is a free pack which modifies Windows XP system files"  :-D

wala naman sakin...Vista Inspirat 2 na yung inabutan ko pagka install ko ayus lang lahat...weekly ako magscan ng pc for malwares using SpySweeper and Eset Smart Security wala naman na-trace na kahit ano...

O sige try ko yan. Let's see kung may ma-sniff si pareng McAfee. Pano magpalit ng themes sa Inspirat? May mga preset themes na ba na pipiliin mo na lang? O download ka pa ng themes?

^tama...kung anong themes meron sa winVista meron din dun...pero yung default Vista themes lang wala na yung mga modified ng mga users...

it will change everything in your pc...from the login screen hanggang shut down screen...kahit yung sounds magiging copy ng Windows Vista...

meron akong nakitang theme gen na may aero feature...that means magmumukang transparent yung title bar ng window gaya ng sa totoong winVista...nakalimutan ko lang name e...Window Blinds din ata meron nun...

kung gusto mo naman yung CPU/RAM meter ng Vista na nasa right side ng screen, download ka ng Objectdock...meron ako nyan dati, kaso tinanggal ko kasi kelangan ng mas simple at mas malinis na windows screen...hehehee

Meron akong installer ng Blinds 6.01 Enhanced pero ayaw ko i-run.  :-D

kakasawa mag modify ng looks ng WindowsXP eh...naghahanap na lang ako ng kahit ano na walang software na kelangan tapos yun na lang ginagamit ko tsaka minsan na lang ako magpalit...

nocturnal theme nakuha ko lang sa website ng TuneUp Utilities...yun yung software na gamit ko dati pang palit ng windows theme ko...bundled sya with different softwares na pang ayos ng windows like registry cleaner and defragmenter, file shredder, etc...

yung nasa lower right ng screen, its called Perfmon - its a cpu, ram, hdd and net performance monitor...

yung sa taas alam nyo na yun..yun yung Rocketdock e  :-D

Kulang ko na lang ay Sidebar. May nakuha akong original Vista sidebar that's made to work with XP pero di ko napagana. May hindi ako maintindihan dun sa instruction e. Ano bang magandang sidebar for XP jan mga bro?

^para mas mukang simple yung desktop mo, hide mo yung icons.

tapos yung mga karaniwang programs na ginagamit mo, dun mo ilagay sa Rocketdock. drag mo lang yung icon na gusto mong gawin shortcut dun sa Rocketdock tapos ok na...you can also add separators by right clicking on Rocketdock para ma-separate mo sya by category/usage.

tignan mo ulit yung rocketdock ko, andun na lahat ng programs na ginagamit ko  :wink:

Yung mga icons na nasa taas, they're actually folders. Naka-classify yung mga program shortcuts ko as to internet, multimedia, references, utilities, games, etc.

Pwede ba ilagay yung mga folders na yun sa dock o program shortcuts lang pwede ilagay?

Right-click dock
Add item
Click path
Then browse ka ng folder na gusto mong idagdag  :lol:

Edit: Actually kahit drag lang pala, ke folder ke shortcut, pwede. Pretty kewl!
