If you buy it on its as is price, it's a no-brainer. Pero syempre, may shipping pa. At that price point, you can get a used Prestige or a brand new Premium.

So far ang nakikita at nattry ko pa lang yung RGR520D which are loaded with JB/59's and the budget 7 string GRG7221, which feels better btw.

Nasa magkano yung GRG7221 at yung RGR520D, if you don't mind me asking? Kakaiba yung specs nung RGR520D, interesting.

The GRG7221 was more or less 10k. RGR520D was over 20k IIRC.

oo nga eh. rare pa naman yun. AFAIK only 36 were made from 2000-2002.

Wala kasi ako pambili ng J. Custom, even the Premium ones hirap pako, kaya I customized my RG na lang to have a J. Custom of my own.....

..........hindi ko na mahintay ung RG8 and D Activator 8s........

The risk of refinishing to a natural wood look (lalo na kung basswood ung kahoy) is we'll never know what it looks like (the grain) until you sand down the filler. Buti na lang, medyo lucky ako sa grain........

though it has been 4 to 5 months since I strummed this guitar unplugged when it still have the black paint, but I perceived more volume when strumming unplugged with this new finish, I can hear more resonance and the wood vibrating on its own now.......

True that. Yung dating RG350EX na project ko, ang kapal ng paint when I sanded it down. Took me so long that I had to use paint stripper to make things a little easier, but messier. When I scraped out some of the paint, it was damn thick. But lucky you, the basswood you got had good grains. Normally boring ang grains ng basswood eh.

Parang may nakita na pala akong similar project na ganito before pero sa ibang forums.
