What do you listen to when nursing a broken heart? Favorite sad bastard albums/artists?

I like anything by Mark Kozelek (Red House Painters, Sun Kil Moon, or his projects na simply Mark Kozelek). Siya na siguro 'yung definition ng sad bastard.

Bright Eyes's I'm Wide Awake It's Morning is also a heavy hitter. And the song "Let It Die" by Feist. Jose Gonzales's cover of "Heartbeats" literally made me cry in a restaurant.

Boxer by The National is also great wistful lonely time album. A constant companion of mine last year.

Locally, Masilungan by Sandwich is a great great tune, quite possibly my favorite of theirs. When I first heard it, I remember thinking that it made me feel the same way Cupid Comes by MBV does. A lot of Joey Ayala songs also are very, very, very sad.
