na experience ko din to..pero sumhow i found a nice way na magbalance

(kahit papano ung volume levels)...

put the Phaser before the distortion (it will sound differently though u myt like it)

or put it in the end of your chain...

example: Distortion + Delay + Hyper Phase...

I have the Digital Multi Chorus. To be honest this is actually the first digitech pedal that i REALLY liked. I had tried a few of the other ones, like the Death Metal and the Hot Rod distortion and the digidelay. This one's got cool rotary sounds for jazz comping especially, a nice "wet" sound and great shimmer sounds to add depth to your slow clean passages. And it reacts well to your picking and your tone and dynamics so props for this pedal.

Bad Monkey proud owner here!

I ab'ed it with my maxon od9 and you could barely hear the difference. ONLY if you listen VERY closely/carefully then you would know the maxon od9 is still more organic and 'breathe' to your guitar/amp setup.

Both of the pedals (od9 vs bad monkey) has a slight mid-hump very noticeable when used as a booster for an already overdriven amp, it helps to thicken your treble a lot more and give more crunch to palm muted riffs.

But...the monkey has a bass knob! More flexibility in tone for different venues when performing live

Bang for the buck and the tone is great! Now i'm a 'happy monkey'

Question, I own a Digitech Screamin' Blues, and I swear it sounds ANALOG. Is it really true that among Digitech's product line, it is only the Bad Monkey and the Hot Head that are analog? I checked on musiciansfriend.com and the info they put up said that the Bad Monkey and Screamin Blues are both digital. So it totaly got me confused. Any idea?

x series are the digital ones. death metal, bad monkey, hot head, grunge and the screamin blues are analog!!!!!!

Sa mga user ng Digitech compact pedal...napansin nyo ba na mas mahirap sya i- off/on compared sa Boss pedal, kailangan medyo slightly press nyo na yung pedal, at saka mo diinan yung apak para sa on/off para sakto sa timing ang pasok ng effect...

SETTINGS:

Good for chords (strumming)

Level: 11 o'clock
Low: 2 o' clock
High: 8 o clock
Gain: 11 o' clock

Heavy:

Level: 11 o'clock
Low: 2-3 o' clock
High: 8 o clock
Gain: 3-4 o' clock

Napansin ko lang sa Screamin' Blues, dapat hinay lang sa HIGH kapag lumampas sa 10 o' clock nagiging masyado matalas, masakit sa tenga...

I own the RP250 (wifey's gift). Ganda ng tunog lalo na pag sa tube amp. Mejo bitin lang ako sa distortion kaya it's either I add an analog dist specifically the AMT DT-2 (Sansamp GT-2 ripoff) or I buy analog pedals na rin. Watcha think guys?

i onw 2 digitech pedals, Grunge and Bad Monkey. heres a short review:

*Grunge:
Positive:
-high gain but not extreme enough to be psychotic.
-capable of intense chugging action
-depending on the amp, can be a great distortion.
-good beginner high gain pedal. get this, dont get the MT2. wahehehe!

Negative:
-not versatile
-majority of venues have crap amps, so you will get a crap sound.
-doesnt work well with many guitars. as for me, it only delivered with my dime, it sounded undefined and annoying with the others... but not as annoying as the MT2.
-limited tweakability because of its level of compression. as i have said, your amp better be good.

*Bad Monkey
Positive:
-it is my current main bass OD. read the other reviews, it says its great on guitar... as for me, i plugged it in my bass and along with a few other pedals, i am happy with my OD sound. a MUST get pedal. you will always find a use for this... be it a booster or your main dirt sound.

Negative:
-if you get this for the wrong reasons, then of course it would suck. dont expect this to be a stand alone pedal for high gain music.
