para sa akin alesis... choice ko rin among others except the ms40. pandagdag ko sa ns10 ko...

IMO, may others also, buying a nearfield monitor is not that easy. di pwede yung "OK NA"...don't rely on reviews, unless sir MIKEP or other PROs personally recommend it. request for a free-no commitment trial period...mga 1 week...kung ayaw nila, then you must visit their store regularly to make a SOUND CHECK...syempre, they must also have a listening room...or a good sounding room...

Monitoring is a very crucial part of your studio. It would be easy to say alesis is better siince it has a bigger woofer (about an inch) than the behringer you mentioned. Plus the fact that the alesis has a bigger cabinet and higher wattage. MS40 is only 20w each. But then again if you have a smaller studio then maybe the alesis is too much for your studio and you might not be getting a nearfield effect with a stronger monitor.

Tapos another this is the preference. Medjo subjective ang monitors sa mga tao. There are others who would prefer one which other think is not a better deal. The best way here is to hear it. Kung pupunta ka sa tindahan, pa testing mo. Be sure they have a real nice listening room. Wag ung sa store area lang kasi iba ang magiging tunog nya dun.

As for my personal preference I would go for yamaha natural sound monitors. Ung NS10 the best. But they are discontinued na kaya medjo mahirap na maghanap nun. But between those two you mentioned I would go for the alesis. In my own studio I have an MS20. I would say kapos sa bass that is why I run four several monitorings (a common cassette line in, a hi fi set, a car stereo set up and the ms20).

sir cge nga educate me hehe... gagamitin ko lng naman po siya for desktop production... naguguluhan pa kc ako kung monitors or headphones bibilhin ko...problema ko naman kc sa headphones is walang headphones jack yung soundcard na m audio 2496..dats wat im usin..

alesis to go. i saw them both and i can say that the alesis has superior design like/in terms of the woofer, tweeter, casing, etc. but it would be more expensive than the MS40.

for more options, you can try checking Samson Resolv 40a or Multimedia 4 in audiophile shops. bnew at around P8k only. close to a price of the MS40 and a more hardcore studio monitor  . i personally recommend the 40a cause im using one... hahaha. quite good, really. near-field loud enough for my room.

although we recommend, mag sound check pa rin po kayo... para di kayo magBLAH-BLAH sa amin ni jamming papu pag di kayo nakuntento sa product.. Check with their listening room if meron sila. and you should bring your own listening material if possible.
