Went to TMS this afternoon to have a chat with Dax. :-D I ended up getting myself a twin head. I was impressed by how it sounded. The thing growls. It's not a distortion, it's an overdrive with lots of steroids and shabu in it. hahaha!!!!

The nice thing about the pedal...It doesn't sound like a pedal, it sounds like an amp with tubes, it breathes. When you put the gain at 12 o clock, it sounds like a tube amp naturally driven hard, very tasty breakup sound. If it's at 9 o clock, you get the crunch sound, it sounds perfect with a strat, we were able to get that SRV vibe, with it at 3 o clock, you get that british, marshall sound which is not that fizzy. And it was easy to get that 3-5 minute sustain on one note.  :-D (Dax i'll teach you how i did it kanina hehehe)

The pedal me likey and it's a keeper...

that's cool..  8-) thanks much papi!!

can't wait to hear that with your Horus

Bri, I owned an artec stereo Chorus. its a good chorus pedal, very subtle and the manual mode controls the delay of the chorus effect. plus the feedback knob serves as a vibrato(self oscillating effect). when combined with a dirt its not as thick as a Boss chorus. it can give you darker sound. perfect fit for you dc-5. lol

Hey, thanks! Hmm sige pagisipan ko ito..

By the way, the DC-5's Mico's. Mine is an F-30.

You said it's not thick as a Boss Chorus when combined with dirt; is that good or bad?

Artec is a Korean company.. their pedals and amps are, well, made in China..

Artec Giovanni Pickups are made in Korea though.. now that's another thread..  :-)

yes its F-30 I should say.  :-D

Good or Bad? Its your preference bro. Havent tried Boss chorus yet but based on the demos IMHO, Boss has a bright sounding compare to Artec that has very subtle and darker sound. as for me i like the Chorus tone with the Mark IV ni Petrucci. nakukuha naman nya yung hanap ko.

Bro, I got mine for a very cheap price pero as far as i know 3.9 ata to nung last na nagtanong ako sa TMS. it categorizes as custom pedal kasi.
