after 8 hours of soaking...

credit goes to bro fouljan :-)

« Reply #182 on: July 21, 2008, 05:54:05 PM »
THIS IS ONLY APPLICBLE TO LUGS AND NUTS THAT ARE VERY RUSTY....

THINGS YOU NEED:
1 1.5LITER COKE BOTTLE CUT IN HALF
1 BOTTLE REGULAR MURIATIC ACID
 MOTOR OIL NEW NOT USED
2 DRY CLOTH

PROCEDURE:
STEP 1: REMOVE ALL YOUR RUSTY LUGS PLACE IT IN THE COKE CONTAINER.
STEP 2: POUR MURIATIC ACID AND LET IT SIT FOR 3-4 HOURS...OBSERVE
STEP 3: REMOVE MURATIC ACID AND POUR H2O AND POWDERED SOAP..RINSE IT.
STEP 4: DRY WITH CLEAN CLOTH
STEP 5: PLACE IT AGAIN IN THE CONTAINER THEN POUR MOTOR OIL LET IT SIT FOR HALF A DAY...VOILA NO MORE RUSTY LUGS

IF YOUR NOT SO SURE OF THIS TRY IT ON A NUT OR BOLT THAT IS RUSTY TNX...

Check page 7 of this thread. Again, kudos to fouljan or to his mother I should say for their discovery of oxalic.

what about sa cymbals kaya? meron na nga kaya nakasubok? :?

naglinis ako ng mga lugs, tension rods, rims, stands etc. using the oxalic acid!

presenting the wonders of OXALIC ACID!!

look how shiny it become!hehehe

this is the result after soaking it for 5 hrs (but i think 30 mins ok na sya and you'll already see a very good result) kaya inspect nyo nalang from time to time kung kailangan pang ibabad.

ayos talaga yung oxalic acid..yup acid sya kaya masakit sa sugat. :-P

wow.. pero parang natatakot ako gumamit ng acid.. baka masama yan pag nalanghap..haha. ewan..

question..

kung maselan ka talaga eh, try mo nalang punasan yung kit mo bef. you play (including your cymbals).

sana may naitulong!
