Just Stumbled it on Francis M's Blog
http://francismagalona.multiply.com/journal/item/93/The_Hardware_Syndrome"Late '93 we were gonna shoot an mtv for "Bad Blood" (an aids song for MTV Asia and the Phil. Commision on H.I.V./Aids) where, we got into a fight w/ an upcoming band who was auditioning for Atrium's Live gigs of NU 107. I would never forget that night, my wife Pia, and my secretary, Myla, overheard the lead singer call me & my music "[ice cream]". I saw red and immediately ran to the gangly-much taller singer and asked him to step outside and settele it like a man. "Hinamon ko ng suntukan, even my Spindicate Posse were so angry, we were armed w/ rocks and sticks, ready to take on any [gooey brown stuff]. The singer was afraid to fight and was denying he said those remarks, but I was so mad, I was calling anyone from the band to fight. The singer's name? Basti Artadi, the band's name? Wolfgang. (I would patch things up a good 4 years after, offering a handshake during Tower Record's launch, which I hosted as an MTV VJ). You know, I was young, and like a wounded animal, I was fighting for my niche and spot in the music industry. it was a no-no kasi for an "artista" (much more so for a former matinee idol) to make legit music. It was unheard of, and it wasn't the norm, but WE DID IT, LIKE SINATRA, WE DID IT OUR WAY."
