naexperience niyo na ba mga sir makipagtalo sa lead/rhythm guitarist ng band niyo? or may mga bagay ba kayong hindi mapagkasunduan.. share po kayo

the ryhythm guitarist felt bad, went home and made a vow to practice playing his guitar 10 hours everyday...

after a few months...

Lead guitarist: Yabang mo ah! Kaya mo ba to?! (gives the finger to the rhythm guitarist, cranks his amp and plays Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Trilogy Suite Op. 5)

Rhythm guitarist: Ano yan blues? (also gives the finger and played Michael Angelo Batio's No Boundaries)

Lead Guitarist: WTF?! Sige magppractice na ako mag palm-mute hindi lang puro solo!

The band sounded 100000000000X better after the incident.

ibig ba sabihin nito na mas magaling lagi ang lead guitarist kesa sa rhythm guitarist? once comparison starts between the lead and the rhythm guitarists, downfall of the band starts.

Guitar playing wise? of course!

(provided that the lead guitarist has awesome rhythm chops as well)

but each of them has their own specific role in a band so there should not be any comparison.

(unless both of them share the lead/rhythm duties)

yan dapat ang hindi mangyari... kaya lang madalas maging reason ng "downfall" (yung iba nga nasa baba pa lang- super downfall na)

kailangan lang naman mabigay yung...

good qualification. kasi i know some lead guitarists who are not too good at rhythm.

naalala ko 2 weeks ago may nag kwento s'kin na may kakilala s'yang gitarista na super lupet sumipra ng leads/solos pero hindi n'ya alam yung chords

Yeah, madalas pataasan nga ng ihi ang lead & rhythm guitarist. That's why there is a certain degree of freedom kapag mag-isa ka lang na guitarist sa band.

However, mas gusto ko na tawagin lang 'guitarist 1' and 'guitarist 2' yung dalawa, kasi sa experience ko, mas maganda kapag nakakapag-rhythm AND lead ang both guitarists. That way, both could improve in both 'fields'.. and magiging 'give & take' ang setup. Everybody happy.
