ive tried all these brands, and they all sound good in their own way. but i must admit im a zildjian fan. i like the avedis series. it has that old school sound and i like how it sounds.

you should listen to what you are buying. brand does not matter. its the sound..all the brands you mentioned are awesome!!!!

like i always say, "sana magkaroon na ng bagong distributor ang meinl dito sa pilipinas!"

even though i'm using stagg (and sabian hihats), meinl has always been my favorite brand, just because a lot of my favorite bands' drummers use it. meinl was also my first set of bronze cymbals, and i love that new-school meinl sound.

i'd switch in a heartbeat kung maging competitive lang presyo ng meinl dito. siguro kapag kumikita na ko ng sariling pera ko, bibili nalang ako sa ibang bansa. masyadong taga presyo ng meinl dito e.

anyway, regarding the topic, all brands have something to offer. it's up to you to decide what your ears like. but... i still think that sabian is better than zildjian, just because they're innovators. hehehe. *takes cover from angry mob of zildjian users*

Bro, faced out na yung Pro-Sonix. Ayus rin siya at lampas 9k presyo nun (nung available pa siya). Mas mahal siya sa B8 and B8 Pro series.

Ngayon lang ako napadpad sa section na ito. Makitanong na rin.

Currently our church's set uses ZBT Ride, ZHT crash and Hi-Hats. Kaso meroong kulang sa tunong ano kaya pwedend idagdag para mas gumanda ang tunog.

Am thinking a brilliant ride/crash and a splash. Ano po ma suggest nyo.

I find a second crash (with different thickness and size) better for adding variety to the standard cymbal setup compared to a splash. Dapat different, pero magcocomplement dun sa isa mong crash. Pero ako lang yun.

usually, kung may 16 inch crash na, okay mag add ng 18 inch para maiba naman ang volume at tunog =) pero nasa sayo yun, pwedeng dark crash naman or fast crash

For some reason, parang Zildjian lang ang may endorsers na Pinoy.

Any other Pinoy drummer endorsing Sabian, Meinl or Paiste?

I am not sure but is Jazz Nicolas endorsing Paiste? Last I saw them he used an all-Paiste set-up. I think Paiste should consider him as a Philippine endorser.

Then, Paiste (through Audiophile) should consider repricing. Hehehe.

For me, Sabian ang pinakamadaling i-spell. Pag sinabi mo Sabian, yun na yun. Hirap ipronounce ang Meinl at di ako sure kung paano sabihin ang Paiste.

Akala dati ng girlfriend ko Zilyang yung Zildjian. Kasi di niya mabasa yung logo.

Meinl repricing will start next week, starting with Mb20, Byzance, Soundcaster Custom, and Mb10. Sa wakas, nasa tamang presyo na ang mga Meinl.
