i think the "all purpose" ride based on experience is the Avedis Medium Ride or the K Dark Medium Ride!

Amen to this... lalo na pag 20" lang... crashable talaga...

pero sakin. ayaw ko ng "all-purpose". kasi yung sound ng ride na all purpose eh malapit din naman sa sizzle hats.. So I'd rather get me a real ride (like K Dark Med 22 Ride). para defined kung naka ride ka or hats. mas focus kasi ang dating nun and you get more flavors of sounds.. (my 2 cents lang).

from what I can hear so far, it's a 4-way tie among these:

Uy, ratings ko personal opinion a.

K Custom Medium Ride Ping(9/10) Crash(8/10)
- Indeed very versatile, had the 20" of this for a while. It has that buttery sound that all K Custom Rides have, it is also crashable, but out of these 4, it is the least crashable IMO. Slightly more ping-y cymbal than crash/wash.

K Custom Dark Ride Ping(8/10) Crash(9/10)
- IMO, this thing's really for jazz. 100% crashable! pero mejo dark at hindi bright sounding that would fit more for Rock/Loud settings. A bit washy for me.

K Dark Medium Ride Ping(10/10) Crash(9/10)
- A Jazz Ride with Rock qualities! Perhaps the most versatile indeed among these. This ride has the best ping among these four. Crash is very Crashy! Nice controlled wash. The only weakness I could think of would be the bell, it seems to lack something, volume perhaps?

A Sweet Ride (Trad) Ping(8/10) Crash(10/10)
- the best crash-sounding ride for me. of course with that comes a hugh sacrifice in ping. the ping of this ride gets really mellowed down when played in a loud setting. but this thing's fun as heck to crashride to. if you really crashride a lot, then this thing's for you!

I tried it sa isang studio sa may UP. Hirap lang ipa-open up pag washing.
Pero pag ping, PEEEENG! PEEEENG! PEEENG!
Sarap. Parang ice cream.
