You could try checking your local CD-r king outlet. I think they sell low cost wireless routers there. cheers!

I don't know about the quality. But considering how much you are paying for it, I won't expect too much quality. Medyo they're really expensive kasi talaga.

I'm a big fan of CDR-King products... but I wouldn't trust my network connection with their routers. :-D

For about 2400php or less, you can get an entry-level Linksys/Cisco WRT54G2. It's Wireless-G, and has the four RJ45 ports you need. It's not the best, but its pretty stable. And for added stability/features, you could always flash the firmware with a custom DDWRT - something I doubt you can do with CDR-King routers.

Plus, the Linksys is POGI, man!

Yep, everything's internal. :-D No slouch naman sa range. My antenna-less Linksys provides enough signal to reach every area in a 500 sq-metre house, even three stories up!

Yeah. Check PC Corner, PC Express, and other PC chain warehouses in your mall - IF you can't go to Gilmore. Cause I'm sure it's even cheaper there.

yep. D-link is, if i'm not mistaken German, so you're pretty much in good hands. I've used a couple of their products in the past few years for my networking needs; so far, they've never let me down. Great Choice!

The one we have here at home is a D-Link DIR-300. It's Wireless G. I got it for P1.9k brand new sa SM Muntinlupa. It's a few months old. 24/7 syang bukas and so far, di pa pumapalya.

Nakakatawa lang kasi dalawang computer store yun, magkatabi. Dun sa isa, the router was priced at P2.5k. Dun sa katabi naman, P1.9k lang.

Buffalo, seems to be a good brand.

But so far the most popular brands because of their quality and reliability are Linksys and D-Link. Although they're more expensive.

I think Linksys, D-Link, Netgear, and Buffalo are all good brands. Was doing research on router roundups last year - would've gotten a Buffalo, kaso their midrange models are mahal.

Basta I'd steer clear of Edimax, CNet, TPLink CDR-King, and others. I wouldn't call 500 pesos money saved, if my connection stutters and the router support is nil.

we use Buffalo.  1.7k  mas mura ata sa iba.  it's small and light weight.  it runs 24/7.  so far so good.  sometimes we lose our connection but all we do is unplug and then re-plug the power cable and that fixes it.  i almost bought a cdr king wifi unit pero had secondthoughts because i knew that the unit would be running non stop.  usually sa cdr king ang nagiging problema yung power supply, if not the unit itself.  at least buffalo has a warranty, and branded kahit pano.
