i only tried one..the blackstar HT..its distinct but it has an ISF knob to make you dial either a darker or open sounding tone..

so my opinion isnt worth

Haha alright! :-D Thanks Bryan. Reread your post and now I understand it! LOL.

Yeah I do like heavy stuff... It's kinda pricy.. I was thinking of selling my Tonelab LE to get it..

The Tubezone is attractive though..

Any other opinions guys and gals?

Steer clear of teh tube zone if you want tighter, more muscular Marshall tones.  The Tube Zone is made to sound quite like a Recto.

Here's a sample of a song   recorded with Tube Zone with an MXR 10-band EQ and an E-H Tube EQ:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-t3-e8Wn_Q

The guitarist did just one pass of guitars and the simulated stereo was done on mixdown.

haven't played a HT Dual, but I was a longtimeowner of a Tube Zone until I flipped it.

It is essentially a Recto sounding pedal. You wont get those sizzling hi mids for that marshall tone. the crunch box handles that department.

I enjoyed the dynamics the TZ had, it didnt just do high gain stuff well, the low gain tones were very good too. hi gain was dynamic to picking if set right.

Flipped it coz it had a huge bottom end i couldn't deal with.

but lately, I've been wanting one again... i miss that tone

Thanks for the comment. Yup looking for something close to that Recto sound. This video was shown by rolexm to me last night. It what started me to think of really getting the TZ!

No worries buddy  :-)

If its low end you're after, its huge, and you can tighten that with the character knob.

Feel free to touch base with me when you score one  :-)

new look and there's an additional trimpot "presence control" inside the pedal.

would be great if you could find a way to compare its tone to V3. I read somewhere that there's a difference  :-)

Hey, thanks for the offer and trust! Will let you know if I'm up for it! Don't want to borrow it and like it without any cash on hand. Haha.

Also, medyo target ko talaga ngayon Tube Zone.
