vegetable joe's kinmans on his daffy duck greco strat are reeeeaaallly nice, i like those. quiet and detailed, quacky in mid settings.

i kinda lean towards dimarzio's, haven't played a bad set yet. i dig the hs-2's and hs-3's.

duncans seth lover pick ups are righteous.

but what has been fascinating me lately, are bill lawrence pick ups. they're about half the price of dimarzio and duncan, but a mighty tough contender. i'm contemplating on getting a L-500R and L-500XL with q-blend control through the website, for my lagoon blue yamaha.

Eto pre description sa SD website.  Baka umatake na naman GAS mo...  Hehehe

Late-‘50s, vintage-correct, humbucker sound. Warm and crystalline clean tones. Full and bright distorted tones. Smooth sustain. Classic appointments include plain enamel wire, long legged bottom plate, vintage single conductor cable and no logo. Compared to the SH-55 Seth Lover, the ’59 has slightly more scooped mids and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.

Basta inorder ko yung nakalagay mismo sa Dimebag at Nuno signature guitars from Bill Lawrence USA, pickup lang mismo, walang Q filter.

I understand na may ibang claimant yung Bill Lawrence name, sina Bill and Becky Lawrence who offer similar looking pickups with almost similar model numbers.

Bahala na sila sa away nila basta I'm after that matalim na sizzle sa riffs at solos nina Nuno at Dimebag so I ordered what they had.

I have the L-500L and L-500R installed in my custom guitar. Very very versatile. It's now extremely difficult for me to consider any other humbucking pickups. Not for a minute do I regret selling my three Dimarzio pickups (Evo, Air Zone and Air Norton) to make way for these. This is a bit of a curse though, since ordering a set from Bill and Becky via email is excruciating. My biggest regret when I ordered mine was that I didn't get a Q-Filter (I was slightly short on cash).

I friend has L-280's on his strat at nakakainggit yung tunog.

I'm afraid greasykid didn't get the real deal, though. But if it'll sound good for him, it shouldn't matter.

I'm afraid it's EZ Wajcman (Bill Lawrence USA) who sells "similar" pickups.

Nuno's original N4 and Dimebag's original lightning bolt Dean ML are equipped with real deal L-500L's (built under Bill's supervision himself). Most of the production Washburn signature guitars bearing their names use BL USA's, like what you ordered.

willi stich is bill lawrence himself, so i think you're referring to his former business partner, e.z. wajcman.

here are the two sites for comparison:
