The PGX series ng Shure maganda...

The problem with the "cheaper" wireless systems, matakaw sa battery, minsan paputol putol, once na mahina na ung battery they tend to feedback, and ayun takaw feedback.

With the Shure, AKG, Sennheiser wireless system, you're in good hands,

I use Sennheiser EW100 Series with e845 capsule.

Meron ako ngayon ng Nady encore2 dual diversity wireless mic, so far ok naman ang sound quality and up to 500ft operating range. Huwag nga lang mababagsak ng mataas kasi plastic ang casing niya.

If you're planning to buy rechargeable batteries to use with your wireless transmitter, DON'T.
A Rechargeable battery even if fully charged can only last 1 hour on a wireless transmitter, even if you have 2 rechargeable batteries, if the other one is exhausted and you replaced it with the fresh one and charge the exhausted one, it would take 1 1/2 hours or 2 hours to fully charge a battery, so the fresh one will be exhausted before you can have the other one fully charged.

Just buy the Energizer batteries, they last 6-8 hours.

If you have rentals, and they want to use wireless, just make an arrangement na sila ang bumili ng battery.  Bitin pag naka rechargeable ka. If you have a gig that will last mga 6 or 8 hours, you need to have at least 4 rechargeable batteries para di ka mabitin.

+100 :-)  Ganyan ang ginagawa ko, yung client ang mag pro provide ng battery or may renta yung wireless mic. Hassle kasi yung magpapalit ka ng battery in the middle of the gig.

I had the chance last night to handle a Shure SLX4/Beta 87A, I would say na I would never exchange my Sennheiser EW100 G1 for that SLX, kahit pa sabihin na mas bago ung SLX(my EW100 is 8 yrs old) and uses double A batteries(Mine uses 9v battery), because the sound quality is way way apart. SLX was using a Beta 87A capsule, while mine uses e845 capsule, pero mas maganda talaga tunog ng Sennheiser.

If you have the extra buck, go get the new Sennheiser EW135 0r EW145 G3, (hehehe ang luma na nung sa ken G1 pa).
If not,the PGX is a good entry level wireless system.
