If you wanna hear the real output power of your 18" woofers, try the QSC RMX5050. We normally bring 4 cabs for our lows connected to one Rmx5050 and it's always enough for our gigs - medium to almost large size venues.

These are the specs from the QSC amp, if you use this for a mobile how many amp would your generator be to have some power?

at 120V (in amperes) at typical/full/maximum output power (idle current= 1 amp)
RMX 4050HD RMX 5050
8 ohms typical= 6.4, full= 12.5, maximum= 25.5 typical= 8.7, full= 17.0, maximum= 34.4
4 ohms typical= 10.0, full= 20.1, maximum= 42.2 typical= 13.9, full= 26.9, maximum= 56.4
2 ohms typical= 14.5, full= 30.6, maximum= 65.7 typical= 18.9, full= 38.0, maximum= 84.7

This is only lets say bass, so you need at least one more for mid/ high or sometimes 2 for mid and separate high...........plus mixer, equaliser etc or driverack.............
What kind of generator you need, how many amperes to power it al up?
Most generators i see in the parade with mobiles have only 4 or 5 ampere for all the equipment?
Can somebody explain to me how they have everything working with a small generator?

Sir Kayang kaya ng MA-5000 yun 4 na P audio sd18el. No. 1 po sa Cebu ang M audio power amp.

check the speaker's sensitivity (1 watt @ 1 meter). 18" woofer with bigger voice coils (4.5" above) tends to be less sensitive since the cone and voice coil gets heavier and thicker and the spider gets stiffer. it tends to be 'hard-driven'. you may be required to buy a really powerful amp but it doesn't stop there. in most cases, an 18" speaker with a 4" voice coil rated at 800 watts for example may even sound louder than a 5" voice coil 800 watts speaker since the former has better sensitivity, hence, it is not 'hard-driven'.

this is just a case in point since i tested alot of power amps in the past and i still find crown 5000vz as the most qualified to drive huge 18" woofers and it keeps your speakers safer. but of course price is another issue.

According to Ricky Gonzales ( a veteran mobile ) he tested the battle amp and crown 5000vz , battle amp is more powerful than 5000vz, But crown amp 5000vz is a very good amp but the price is very expensive.

Sir, kayang kaya po ng MA-5000 ang 4 live 2000 watts 6" voice coil. ginamit din namin sa fix installation ang MA-5000 to drive 4 units of 21" turbo sound subwoofer sa isang bar dito sa manila.

Ma 4000 nga lng kaya na e drive yung Battle 18. one of our customer feedback is "kayang kaya nya yun 4 units of battle 18", what more kung Ma-5000 pa yan.if you want you can get one and try to know its power.
