Thanks for sharing the info. I guess they really are two different beasts and another A/B comparison would be fair at a later date when the SN10 would have been "broken in" na 'ika nga. And great pics, too! Sayang, I would have loved to come but my schedule didn't permit. But like you said, the invitation stands, huh?

In a nutshell: the SN10 was "flatter" with a bigger bass and de-emphasized "high mids" and less harsh highs.

The NS10's had tighter bass, harsher (albeit more detailed highs).

The SN10 need not tout itself as an NS10 clone, because it is clearly not such. That being said however, it does does not need to tout itself as an NS10 clone because it is a good sounding piece of gear specially for the price.

However if you take an engineer who has spent lots of time on NS10's and put him in front of SN10's...he will not exactly be fish in water because there are some glaring differences. One will have to be acclimated once more to the SN10's.

The similarities end with the white paper cone that the two speakers share. It is not a clone, but a good speaker set.

NB The comparison could be premature IMHO as the SN10's were quite brand new and not yet broken in. Perhaps another A/B test would be appropriate after the SN10's have done some time.

As NS10 user for more than 20,000 hours already, narinig ko agad yung difference. - 30 secs to 1 minute... Yung SN10 ang una kong pinatunog, then the NS10.

Its a good speaker set... FOR TRACKING ( that's my opinion ). I won't use it for MIXING.

Yung actual detailed  A/B ng NS10 at SN10 ay nasa video, you can hear the difference, then pakinggan din natin ang comment ni sir mikeP......try ko iupload yung vid soon.

Those of you who would like to see and listen to the speakers and maybe decide if they could work for yourselves why dont you visit Tracks Recording Studio at 19 Delgado st. San Antonio Village, Pasig... its a good way to learn and hear for yourself.  True we had a very good discussion regarding the speaker the industry and others... sir Mike had his comments as well regarding the speakers which so far are these...

SN10 was smoother not hifi sounding like the other new monitors you can find in the market today
Flat natural those things that other people say they would like to be adjusted on the ns10's was in a way addressed on the SN10's... e.g.  harshness on the top end which some people prefer... or call it brilliance...
anyway.... we'll wait for sir Mikes over all assessment on these monitors...

Sorry for the late post.  I find Soundsphere's SN10 to be a good monitoring speaker but is definitely not an NS 10 clone.  The thing I immediately noticed is a flattened mid high which is smoother compare to the harsh sound of the NS10.  I also noticed a boosted mid low, thus the entire sound is a little bit smoother, balanced and bassier.  For its price, as offered by NS10 Reborn, it is a good alternative speaker system,  I would definitely use it as a main monitoring system, noting that, being used to NS10s, I can further boost the mid highs to approximate the sound of the NS10.  The resulting sound will be a more in your face mix, the result of more pronounced mid highs.

As in any monitoring speaker, it is important for one to get used to its sound.  I can easily get used to the SN10's characteristics.

NS10Reborn will be leaving on the 28th of this month.  I just bought the SN10 pair from him.  He said that Studiospares requires that 2 pairs (4 speakers) be bought for each transaction so you can get the low price point.  He said that his price is already landed cost, but allow me to let him be the one to tell you the price he quotes everyone.

If there are some who would like to give the speakers a listen, we can organize another listening session one of these days when a lot more people are free.  Set a date and I'll see if we can have it in the studio.

We have to set a schedule.  At TRACKS, when somebody is using the studio, we just cannot come in and see what is happening.  As the clients are renting the studio, they have all the right to privacy.  I myself, do not just barge in to the studio when clients are using it.  I call Angee and we talk outside.

I have to look at the schedules second week of May and see if we can get a day for listening to the SN10s.  I'll let you know.
