HVX isn't available yet.
I'm not saying infinity pickups aren't good, but you will definitely hear improvement with the dark star.  :-)
I said that Infinity pickups are ok because I tried a new RG350M (the one with maple fretboard), with an Infinity set. It sounded good, well, at least for me  :lol: (probably because the maple fretboard made them sound brighter)
Sir Dax how about sa INF4? I have a Yamaha RG . INF4 nakalagay sa bridge and stock sa neck. Im looking for INF3 para sa neck but if the Entwistle are better, syempre dun nah. Mas maganda ba ung Entwistle sa INF3 and INF4? anong magandang Entwistle pickup and maganda sa Yamaha RG ko? Hanap ko yung all around sound pero hindi mabibitin kapag sa bigat. Thanks

I think boss Dax's guitar is a Yamaha equipped with Enwistles.  :-)

I tried AhVia_Musicom's Entwistle HDN on bridge. I bought the same pickup a day after.

It's a 1985 Yamaha Session II 520 with Artec HBBA Humbuckers. In my opinion, those HBBAs sound like Entwistle HDNs, but with a little less output. Both sound strat-ish in the neck position

If you want the "bigat" with pang-"all around" sound, the Entwistle HDN would do.  :-)

If someone is selling you an Infinity at a cheaper price than a brand new HDN, ok na rin yun.

as always, I leave the decision to you.  :-)

Unahan ko na si Dax... :lol:

HDN = P1,295 per piece (Bridge/ Neck)
Darkstar = P995 per piece (Bridge/ Neck)

Take note... HDN uses Neodymium magnets, which are believed to be the most powerful magnets to date. Dark star, on the other hand, uses ceramic.

Nabasa ko sa previous post ung HDN more like na strat sound and ung Darkstar more on heavy sound. Im not a start fan. I like the sound of LP, SG and Ibanez RG. So siguro  mag Darkstar ako sa neck and bridge ng yamaha ko. Ipon, Ipon muna =)

Tnx for all the info.

Sir thanks for the info. Sna bumaba pa kapag neck and bridge ung kukunin =)

if you want to be really sure, bring your guitar or your old pickup to the store to see if the spacing is ok  :-)
thanks!

FYI, I installed some of those into locking trem-equipped guitars (Ibby's, Washburns, Yamahas, etc), spacing is just fine.
