Guitar > HM100 > Zoom 707 > Amp

usually, multi-fx' sucks your tone big time.

in my case i cascaded a gcb95, bad monkey and a ds1 to my zoom g1. since the function of my g1 is to provide me with modulation, reverb, eq and delays, the setting of my g1 on the first patch (A0) is usually reverb fx only. this patch serves as my bypass mode just to give me a good ambiance.

next patches (A1....) with have delay, eq, modulation fx, reverb, etc.

but if you really want to avoid the tone suck coming from your zoom or whatever multi-fx unit, just use a true-by pass looper.

as for me, the above settings works naman.

looper katapat ng tone suck :-D

that's the best solution talaga. and maraming diy'er dito satin who can customized your requirements at a very minimal cost.

ung settings ko kasi is tipid mode kaya di na ako gumamit ng looper. heheheheh

umm pag naka on INPUT-EFFECTS SEND-EFFECTS-EFFECTS RETURN_OUTPUT

pag naka off o bypass INPUT-OUTPUT

ganyan ba yung meaning mo ng signal flow?

i hope this illustration makes more sense..  :-)
basically meron kang parang pseudo on and off para dun sa multi effect.. so lagi na siya naka-on.. pero may master switch siya, yun yung looper.. parang ganun..

parang ganun.. pero basically.. pag naka-off yung looper, yung signal mo is just like guitar > DS1 > amp... based from the illustration..

pag naka on na yung looper, magiging guitar > DS-1 > Zoom G2R > amp..

gets? parang biabypass mo lang talaga yung buong G2R pag naka-off yung looper..  :-)
i don't know if pareho lang sa line changer.. but maybe you can put it that way..

pareho lang sir...
it's more like a switch..
example, from line 1 with a specific flow of signal changing it to line 2 with a different signal flow...
I believe this looper is just acting as a switch...No active components really involve,if there is that would only serve as filters...
salamat sir!

kung may filter na yung looper.. baka hindi na siya matatawag na true bypass looper, but just a simple looper or switcher..  :-)
yes, a true bypass looper is passive.. kailangan mo lang siya ipower for the LED indicator..

nevertheless.. i think we're thinking of the same thing..  :-) a single switch true bypass looper is actually very easy to DIY..

I'm thinking of getting the Zoom G2.1nu mostly because of it's small size and USB option.  I'll probably get a decent OD or Boost pedal din.  I have not tried chaining analog pedals to multifx yet and have no clue as to this "tone suck".  Does it mean na parang nakaroll back yung tone control sa gitara?  Any sound clip showing this?

yung tone suck bro is like a signal or loss ng high frequencies usually.. so in essence, pwede mo rin sabihin na parang niroll down yung tone knob ng konti..

dadaan na kasi yung buong signal mo sa multi, in will process the signal heavily thus paglabas niya (kahit bypassed yung multi), hindi na ganun ka-pure, so to say.. kaya nilalagay sila sa looper.. para dadaan lang yung signal sa multi pag naka-on yung looper.. in a way, napepreserve mo yung true signal mo..  :-)
