Tama Iron Cobra thread

dude iniba nila cam ng 2007 model.. i have also the older model...
it's ok..it's not in the cam namanmasyado.. akin ok na ang IC ko..
adjust mo na lang dude...

un na nga sir, Iniba nila ung cam ng Powerglide, so macconsider natin ung mga ICs natin as Rolling glide  hehehe kc concentric Cams po ung features nya eh..

i think hindi naman bro,, naiba lang ang shape ng cam but it still has the same impact, ako rin ung old powerglide model ung akin.. compared to the new model kahit hindi round ung cam, it stil has the same concept that increases power and speed as the beater reaches the end of stroke., really alot different than rolling glide. ^__^ \m/

i'm now a proud owner of a Tama Iron Cobra Power Glide Dp. i got mine the other day. my friend got it for me from the U.S. and i only paid, you'll be surprised, P4k. (2nd hand and no beaters). and i was surprised to see that the pedals would actually pass as brand new...no kidding! fresh na fresh, you could still smell the scent of rubber from the pedals itself.

about the 2 beaters, i ordered it from Vinci for 2.6k. so all-in-all, i got it only for 6.6k, not bad right....

it was really a good deal. you may check out items like this in craigslist.com. they really sell items at a very affordable price. yun nga lang dapat may kilala kayo sa U.S. para sila yung kukuha then ipapadala dito.

i agree w/ you bro.. hehe.. our ICs have slightly off-set cams, napansin ko din, ung korte ng cam natin pa curve, pero ung pinagpapatungan ng chain mjo off-set, pero hnd katulad nung 2007 edition..

but anyway ask lang po ako to those of my fellow drummers kung mey nabibili bang mga connecting rods dito sa pinas?

Hindi ko lang alam pero ang pagkakaalam ko madami kami dadating na IC. power glide and rolling glide. but the power glide doesnt cobra coils, yung rolling glide it does have cobra coils... lapit na dumating yun at magkakaroon narin ako. dahil magemployees loan ako. hehehehehehe

share ko lang tong old IC powerglide ko, (Made in Japan) dami nang abuse nangyari dito for many years pero up to now now damages or malfunctions whatsoever. eto yata unang version ng IC please correct me if i am wrong, I had it for around 10years or more na yata at Php 15,260.00 at RJ music (Nka preserve yung price tag kaya alam ko pa hehe)

^ Wow!  A first-generation Iron Cobra.  Still kicking after many years of abuse.  This is a testimony to how durable and reliable Tama's Iron Cobra pedals are.  As far as I know, Sir Jun Regalado also has a first-generation IC double pedal, and he's still using it up to this day.

woooooooow!!!! old school IC is still working? great!!! by the way Mr. Road Dogg just bought a two sets of TAMA Superstar kit from us Audiophile on a Vintage Red finish (VTR)... a fusion kit and a standard kit he's planning to put a double bass kit... this will be exciting for us... we will wait for the result on Mr. Road Dogg new double bass kit.... Hello mga fellow IC users. Tanong ko lang po sino among satin mga Forummers ang meron na or naka try ng bagong "2007 Version".

The reason i ask is medyo matagal na din na "Issue" na-papagusapan both sa "Ibang Drum Forums & Youtube" regarding yung "Problem ng New Housing Design & Bearings" of the "2007" Version . The said revision is known to cause some "Unwanted Play and Wiggle ng Main Shaft". I think yung newly instaled na plastic part ata may problema.

Please note na i am not saying this para siraan ang IC as i love my IC above any other pedal i've owned and tried. Curious lang ako kung na correct na ba ito with the current version reaching us.

Gusto ko lang po i share in case some of us are not aware that the problem exist sa bagong version.
