mostly it depends on you and lessons you will practice... just always start it slow and speed it up gradually... good luck!

19 yrs. old ako ngayon my pagasa ba n gumaling ako kahit ganito n edad ko,tapos lage 1 hour lang practice ko kada araw....tulong naman kung matuto pa aq magdrums...

Nextime bro, Your topic should be straight forward  :-)
Ex.
What your wrote:
Q>help naman mga pro!! pasok kayo dito!!.

What you could have written instead
Is age a factor to drumming?
Or Practice suggestions for a 19 year old.

Be specific.  :-)

About your question. I'm 20 years old(turned 20 last march), I've been drumming since 9 years old. Pero ung seryoso is when I was 15 years old, was first year college back then.
Its never about how old you are, but how much time you put into practice.
if you practice one hour a day, thats great man! you practice more than I do, I do like 20mins of stickings on my practice pad  :-)
One thing you can do is maximize your practice time. -Dont just play around, make goals. For example Today I should be able to do the bossa nova groove. Tom. Is should be able to do this and that.
Do gigs as much as you can, and if you don't know how to read music now- it would be best if you could learn  :-)

Hope this helps  :-)

brod

Start learning to read notes, it'll change the way you look at drumming... money is not an excuse, there are tons of lessons online for free, dapat maxaga ka lang maghanap... youtube is a good way to learn reading, writing music...

much better........

here's some pointers....
I started playing drums 14 y/o (1993, playing REM, U2, Spandu Ballet)Now im 31 with a 10 year NO drumming gap.... what I did is watch lotsa concerts..... Beatles, GNR, Metallica, BonJovi.... watch live acts (yung mga show band sa Farmers CUbao)... and started immulating what drummers do... upto the point na may sarili na akong identity playing drums.... I do play air drumming, drums sa pillows...

But now, its a much easier world for young drummers to live in... you have YOUTUBE, unlike way back, we depend purely on talent lalu na pag wala kang pera pang enroll sa music tutorials...

Find you identity first before before boasting that you are good playing you instrument

One solution I see is to listen to as many different styles as possible.  :-D Not just metal or hardcore. If you wanna play opm or alternative, then listen to opm and alternative music until your ears hate you for it. That way, maisasapuso mo yung tugtugan na gusto mong gawin at mas madali na siyang lalabas sayo.  :-) But that's just me.

meron ba kayo video dyan na pede ibigay sakin ang link yung ituturo talaga ang technique kung pano mag bounce katulad ng double stroke...maraming salamat mga idol!!

Practice the Moller technique. Search fir it on your tube. Pero you get things through repetition. Just do RRR LLL then crank up the tempo every once in a while. Whala! Triple strokes

QFT!!!

I started playing the drums since I was 18 (23 now) thanks to Drummania and I'm self-taught. Took a hell of a break from spring 2007 to fall 2008 and got back where I've started. NEVER HAD A KIT, just my generic double bass pedals and two pairs of drumsticks which one pair lasted for more than three years. ONLY PRACTICES 4-8 HOURS A MONTH OR TWO at a nearby studio, yet able to do two decent ABR covers and planning to cover a Texas In July song this June (no pun intended lol).

It's dedication, determination and passion which drives me even with my limitations, not age alone. I know you can do better. You just have to put your heart into drumming. Kids like Tony Royster, Jr. or even Luke Holland love to do what they do best and I believe you can do the same. Just don't be discouraged! :D
