Stringman... Bec of Mere Mercy is a common friend of ours. We were classmates in College and before he joined MM, we actually formed a band in college just for the heck of winning the battle of the bands in UST Cafa. We actually got Gary of MM to be our frontman, did a different take of Uncertain Smile using a sax instead of a piano solo, did Dance with Me by Lords of the New Church, and Should I Stay or Should I Go. We bagged the trophy (this was '87) The band's name is my user name.
We also formed another band, Infant Noise, just to jam and have fun. We got Henry, an early days member of Identity Crisis, as lead vocals. We played Even now (The Call) and Sunday Morning (Bolshoi). I remember sharing the stage with Ardourn Delirium (Perry, their basist, I believe is one of the founding members of Alamid) and Ethnic Faces (Jack Sikat, very cool guy). Identity Crisis and The Dawn were always last to play. Got to share the stage one time also with Advent Call in UST (Reujen incidentally is a classmate of mine in HS and we played a few songs on special occasions).
Those were the days.
