Re: Pinaka high pitch skin ng remo para sa snare?

Just for the record...

Skin is an accepted street word or slang term for drumheads.  Originally, drumheads are made out of animal skin which is stretched out on a hoop.  Sometime during the mid-20th century, drumheads made out of plastic film were introduced, and since then, these became the industry standard.  Therefore, a lot of drummers out there (including myself, sometimes) still refer to drumheads as skins.  Sa wikang Tagalog... balat:-D

There are still a handful of drummers out there who prefer traditional calfskin heads, because of its raw warmth and texture which can't be replicated by plastic heads.  Until recently, top manufacturers designed drumheads which simulate the feel and sound of real calfskins, without the animal skin's sensitivity to temperature/climate changes (which is its big disadvantage).

You're welcome!

I don't know bro.  I don't have any hands-on experiences with animalskin heads.  We should look for a chemist or a physicist to help us on that question.  I'll see if I can look that up.

I believe "acousticon" material yung ginagamit ng remo. Proprietary material nila yan eh. Parang composite or something pero hidni daw totally wood, parang ganon. Ginamit din yata yang material na yan as shells para dun sa mga unang vdrums ng roland (90's)

Yup Remo Coated Ambassador for the batter side. That would also be a good choice if your using brushes.

Yup. Tama si mr.trigger. Remo Hazy Ambassador snare side is intended for the snare side, resonant side or the bottom part of the snare.  :-)

Nope.
Nasaiyo nakadepende kung ano yung gusto mong tunog ng snare mo.
Try mo, malay mo maganda yung tunog or ma-tripan mo. :-)
