Pedalboard people:

Anyone tried to create a switching unit that does the following:
* ON: Your pedalboard chain is routed as follows: Guitar --> pre-pre effects --> Amp preamp --> efx loop (mod effects + delay) --> back to amp
* OFF: your whole pedalboard goes in front of the amp.

I've researched some stuff in the net, and I found someone who used a 3PDT switch and 2PDT, so this looks feasible.  But I did not know what the result was.  So I'm trying to design a box with 3 in and 3 out and a 3PDT switch to achieve the above.  See below:

Anyone tried to do this?  Magkaka problem ba to sa ground?  Before I buy the materials, I'd like to know if this will work.  Appreciate any inputs.  Please do not ask me "why I want to do this?", hehe.  I know I can just turn off the amp and re-configure my cable so I don't have to do this, but I just want to  :-D.  Anyway, appreciate your help if you have experience on this.

Mga sir can I ask if Behringer is a good guitar effect pedal? I'm planning to buy 5 pedals (metal. delay, wah wah, flanger, and master pedal) nakita ko kasi na di hamak na mas mura ang behringer kaysa sa boss kaya parang behringer na lang ang balak ko bilhin.

kung mura lang ang usapan, i would go for danelectro or boston at least. joyo looks promising as well.

Hope this would help!

Tama sir, as long as na ung tone na gusto mo ay nakukuha at kontento ka, sapat na yan. :)., peru karamihan nga lang sa mga musikero will prefer na Made in US not Made in China or Taiwan.  Ako nga eh gusto ko pedals ko naka made in US lahat kaso mahal naman.  Di kaya sa bulsa ko. hehehe!

ME.
I'm currently using a GCX Audio Switcher (8 LOOPS) for this routing though.

My analog pedals (OD, Dist, Mod) in LOOPS 1,2,3,5 are in front of my amp. LOOP 4 is set for my amp's BOOST function. LOOP 6 is at my amp's FX Send/Return (Delay Pedals). LOOP 7 is my amp's CHANNEL 2. LOOP 8 is my amp's CHANNEL 3.

Yun, kala ko wala na sasagot.  Salamat boss Rey!  Sige, meron palang ganun na unit.  I might look for a smaller one na bagay sa pedalboard ko, I might just find one!  Thanks!!

The guys at Vertex Effects Systems make an interface just like this.

http://www.vertexeffects.com/pricing

"Effects Loop (Isolated send/return for effects to placed in an amplifier effects loop or be switched in series in front of an amp)"

Should be simpler than a GCX, I think.

teleclem, This is the reply that I got from vertex:

Mark,

I don't sell these individually, only for clients that are having an entire rig done that require that option.

Best regards,
Mason

Looks like I have to build my own  :|  Pero I'll search muna for more off-the-shelf products na na smaller than a rack
