During the 80s, go to Raon, you can see fake Kramers, Fenders, Gibsons, Steinbergers, Jacksons.
Plus designs that you will never see in the brand's catalogs were being made.
Say, how about a Steinberger that you thought was headles has the tuning machines BELOW THE BRIDGE.
Or a Kramer that is shaped like two crescent moons joined together in which the edges of the crescent are the cutaways plus a tremolo system that looks like a Kahler but doesn't require a locking nut!
Or a strat with a poor attempt to imitate a Mustang tremolo system - all these guitars with NO TRUSS ROD pero most necks don't warp!
Ah those were great times for amateur musicians then like me at the time!
