Usually I bring my pedalboard, amp, two guitars to a gig. My pedalboard has a Boston eq, Boston noise gate, Jekyll and hyde v2, Sansamp british character series, Boss Fender twin reverb modeller, Digitech rp55 and Shure pgx14 wireless.

My "barebones" setup (usually pag sobrang rush) doesn't involve a pedalboard, I just use my Squier Telecustom I, cable and Laney Lx65r. Sometimes if MASSIVE (lulz) rush I'll just use the venue's amp. I use the neck pickup for cleans then the bridge for dirt.

It doesn't count as a barebones pedalboard setup but it's literally a barebones setup though. Hahaha :P

Sometimes I just go with this..

I set my amp louder than usual.. and then just roll off the volume using the guitar's vol knob...

when I do solos, I just hit the delay and roll my guitar's vol knob to full volume... and then solo clean...
You don't choose the guitar, it chooses you.

If at any point in time you cannot afford a particular guitar, don't play it. If it chooses you, you have to buy it.  If you simply can't beg, steal, or borrow, you will eventually die of a broken heart..
