DD-7 between those too :-D

for a little more, you can go for a dd20, nova delay, or a dl4 :-)

DD7.
Echo park hard to engage. That's why I sold it.
Differences - check the manual.
Ok.

The Line 6 Tonecore footswitch is actually two switches in one. But I think only the Echo Park takes advantage of it. Tapping on it lightly controls the tap tempo and pressing down on it harder bypasses the effect. I don't agree with turi that it's hard to engage, but it does require some getting used to. At the very least you won't need a Boss FS-5U for tap tempo.

Make no mistake about it... the Echo Park is a fine delay pedal. I have one and I don't bother with any other compact delay unit (single pedal). The only real problem it has, in my opinion, is that it doesn't like to share power supplies with other pedals. Aside from that, the only real advantage of the DD-7 which I'm seeing is the looper function, and of course, the chassis, if you like the sturdy classic Boss pedal design.

And yes, if you haven't done so, do check the specs for yourself.

id go with the echopark... more modulated delay variations/features (if yer in those things)... dl4 in a stompbox minus the loop function... of course, rig space friendlier than a dl4...

+1 so true though... still, id go for an echopark anytime...

No, but it will cause your rig to hum. A good regulated power supply will minimize it and maybe get away with powering the Echo Park and one other stompbox. I've successfully been able to make two Line 6 pedals share one power supply with no hum, but that's as far as I'd go.

A power supply with isolated outputs will eliminate the problem altogether.

plus1..Echo park, Sweep  was my fav on that pedal :-) better tone imo..better oscillation :-)
the only edge of dd7 for me,was the looper., but if i need a looper and delay, i would lean towards hardwire dl8. i think it's also within the price range(120-150 bnew) :-)

How about boss looper + echo park?

maybe a dl4 then? (may come out cheaper, bnew price of a rc-2 and a echo park = 330. DL4 = 240) :-)

Problem with the single solution approach is that these delay pedals can't do looping and delays at the same time. Costly, but if looping is that important, I'd rather have a separate pedal for it. My personal opinion, of course.

Aw..

The good thing about DD7 is that you can set the Tap Tempo while the DD7 is not engaged unlike the DL4..
I'd still vote for the DD7..

As per teleclem:
If you have an extra budget.. Go for a DD20.. :-D

Ok din sana ang Echo Park kaya lang ang down side is mahirap i-engage and walang looper.

needs to be pressed in a certain way (medyo sa tip para maengage)

but the sound output is well worth it (i put it in a bypass looper hahah)

Hi there Grner;

Better go for Echopark if youre looking for great tap tempo feature, oscillating effect.
but youll be needing good power supply "regulated" if not it do hummm

thanks
