(I wasn't able to search this due to high server stress, so if ever redundant, paki-delete na lang :-D)

Hi everyone!

Lately, I've been playing guitar extensively. Napansin kong medyo sumasakit nang konte iyung muscle near the base of the thumb (right hand, maybe due to fast tremolo exercises). 'Di kaya sprain lang ito? Anybody experienced having CTS?

I've experienced all that you've said. I took some time to check my hands. after all, all I need is to relax my hands in between practices.

ganito n lang gawi mo. para iwas strain. ganito kasi ako magpraktis.

- stretching ( appox. 5-15mins)
- hand massage ( 10 mns. ) I learn this from JP's Rock Discipline
- Warm Up's
- rest 10 mins
- Legato
- Picking
-rest uli

ganyang tipo lang bro. :-D

walang problema sir. Isipin mo n lang na isa kang atleta, kailangan ng warm-ups ans stretches para maiwasan ang strains and para ma-maximize ung movements ng muscles

+1 yung warm up,massage and stretching para di mabigla at sumakit kay JP ko din nalaman yan eh hehehe.Before nung di ko pa alam yan gitara agad ako yun mga sandali lang napapagod na yung kamay ko at sumasakit, pero pag nag warm up,stretching ako before praktis okay na okay tapos nakokondisyon pa yung kamay ko.

nagkakaganito din ako sa Stress ata to... kailangan lang siguro warm up talaga muna una at may araw ng pahinga... ung kay JP Rock Disciplines nakakatulong talaga.

Saka rest in between practices... kahit 30 sec- 1minute lang..

ADDl:
Pagkatapos ng extensive playing/praticing, 30 minutes rest daw ang advisable if you need to wet your hands para hindi mapasma..
