Amp Footswitch and built-in OD channel
« on: April 27, 2011, 05:13:38 PM »
Sirs,

I'm talking about the simple footswitch na channel 1 channel 2 lang.

Secondly, kaya ko nga pala ako nag-eexplore about this is because, I love the od gain channel of most marshall amps (common ones sa gigs), so gusto ko sana bumili nalang footswitch.

Thanks! \m/ =)

If you're using your OD Pedal to add more "hair" to your dirty amp (amp distortion), then the best way is place it in front of your amp (Guitar > OD Pedal > Amp). Kailangan mo lang i-balance yung Gain and Drive on both the OD Pedal and your Amp.

I'm currently in this set up:
Rhythm: Guitar > MXR Wylde Overdrive > Mesa Boogie DC3 Amp Head or Peavey JSX Amp Head
Lead: Guitar > TC Nova Drive > Ibanez Jemini > Mesa Boogie DC3 Amp Head or Peavey JSX Amp Head

You may ask why I have 2 drive pedals on my Lead patch. Only reason is it works for me  :-)

You got a link to that?

I made a footswitch for my Peavey Classic 30 (channel select and reverb switch). It also works on a Marshall MG50DFX (channel select and effects switch) and a Vox Pathfinder 15R (boost).

I hope you're not referring to MGs.

Depends on the amp. Different (or same) ODs react differently with different amps. May kanya-kanyang voicing kasi yan, compression, break-up, etc...
