heavier than the Laney Cub 12R. I'm sorry, I'm not a good weight estimator :)

the Cub is easier to carry.

yup, this thing is heavy. probably same as a Peavey Vypyr 75W, but the enclosure is smaller so the Blackstar is easier to carry. the HT-5R feels more solid of the two.

weird, all three of them have 12" speakers. and they weigh differently. transformer stuff I suppose?

wow the Laney is light!

just wanna share this setting on the HT5R gain chanel:

Gain at 5
Bass at 5
Mid at 3
Treble at 8
ISF at 8

EQ pedal on the effects loop: scoop the mids a bit, then rock out! UK Metal  :)

alternative setting:

ISF at 3. gain 10. turn the noisegate on. add a bit of mids to the EQ pedal. Megadeth

How can I connect ht5rh to an orange ppc212 ob?
I mean what port should I use on the back of the head going to what port in the cab?

Mabuti na yung sigurado kesa masira :-D

Anong impedance (ohm) rating nung cabinet? Kung ano yung value nun, dun mo isaksak sa corresponding na speaker output sa likod ng amp. Naka sulat din naman dun yung mga impedance ratings na pwede sa kanya. Use a speaker cable, not your regular instrument cable.

16ohm but there are 2 ports at the back of the cab. Not sure which is which.

I'll post the pic later once I get home.

Anu po ba magandang speaker cable?

Just checked the HT5RH's output selections.... Pili ka lang kahit saang port nung Orange 2x12. either one is 16 ohms (basta isa lang saksakan mo)..

Then plug mo dun sa speaker output ng Blackstar that says "1x16 OHM"

As for speaker cable, merong mga branded... pero I use assembled Nobelle's speaker cable and plugs from Audiophile.. won't cost you 500 for a meter and the plugs..

So kahit anong port sa cab 2 speaker n yung gagana right? :-D

Stock cable lang gamit ko. Yung kasama ng head but will be looking for good speaker cable.

Is there a big difference sa sound?

I like blackstar amps  :)

took one for a spin at MOA a few weeks ago. it was a mini stack.

righteously enjoyed the tones i was dialling in, and it didnt take much tweaking either.

i have my crosshairs set for one in the future.

drive my inconsiderate drunken videoke neighbors nuts with my delicious tone and semi-tone triple-stop bends  :)

smoke on the water on the low E string with a laid back staccato swing feel, baby  (heavily muted, drop b, of course!)

Yes. Basta isa lang saksakan mo. (the other one will be for "jumping" of connecting the cab to another cab)

Google is your friend.

Meron din thread niyan dito and it was discussed extensively. Try to locate that one.
But in a nutshell do not ever use an instrument cable as your speaker cable.
Yes magkakaroon ka ng bagong amp ulit if ever gamitin mo yan. :)

No need to bias pag preamp tubes ang papalitan.

Ang kailangan ibias for selected amps ay kung magpapalit ng power tubes, pero it's always safer if you'll replace the power tubes with a matched pair or quad.

Fixed bias -- eto yung inaadjust mo yung bias ng amp (as needed) pag magpapalit ng power tubes
Cathode bias -- "self biasing".. no need to adjust bias pag magpapalit ng power tubes

Ang alam ko, yung HT20 ay cathode bias (pero pwede mo rin mai-adjust if gusto mo) kaya kahit di mo na iadjust yung bias pag magpapalit ng power tubes. Take note, power tubes.

ah sa power tubes pala required yun biasing pero sabi mo nga self biasing na ang HT20 so clear na akin to about sa amp na gamit ko.

preamp tubes ang papalitan ko kaya no need na biasing, any suggestion na brand ng tubes bukod sa TAD na pede ipalit?

maraming salamat sa reply bro.
