Some bad news folks. Elixir has stopped production of their Anti-Rust plain strings (G, B & high E). They have switched back to the typical plain strings. Better stock up on the remaining ones in stores while this gets sorted out.
It's only temporary, I hope.

Greetings, Gear Page members. This is Anita from Elixir® Strings, stepping in to a forum for the first time, ever, to apologize for any confusion and to clear up any misinformation about our anti-rust plated plain steel strings.
We have experienced a temporary disruption in the supply of a raw material. This raw material is used for anti-rust plain steel strings only.
This temporary disruption does not affect the wound strings, so no changes to any strings with NANOWEB® or POLYWEB® Coating.
In the meantime, we resumed production of our original plain steel strings, and you are seeing some of those sets in the stores now, without the anti-rust statement on the package. You can read more about it, with a few FAQs, at
http://www.elixirstrings.com/product...art/index.html.
We expect to return to the anti-rust plain steels shortly, and we'll make an announcement on our website and Facebook Page when we do.
This thread came to our attention, but we do not intend to inject ourselves into your forum. If you'd like to talk with us about this situation, please call or email and we'll be happy to answer any questions.
Thanks!
-Anita
